This is an image guessing game. Here is how it will work.

1) A variety of image clips of retail game box covers will be displayed in the contest thread (possibly this Friday). Each of you get to guess what game it is. There will be a variety of these images posted. You can guess for as many images as you want.

2) In order for you to respond you must use spoiler tags. This way people viewing the contest thread won't see the answer right away. Here is the spoiler code.

The tag will look like this in your post. Obviously, you would add an actual game name.

fkbwii: Right now it's about the latest titles. Once it becomes the norm (possibly an activity once a month) we might include hints and categories. Right now it's an experiment contest to see if you all enjoy it or if we need to update it with rules and such.

I thought about that... but it's a test run right now. :) Wouldn't it take people a while to go through every spoiler tag versus having it right there to just copy/paste what others have?

The nice idea about having it public for you all in a GGD thread is how easy you can see who posted the answers first (in a spoiler) and then you can all chit chat about it.

Postponed the actual contest until 4pm PT. That should give you all a chance to get ready for it tonight! :)

This activity was posted by the way. Note that there are hints on the image itself. I might even have a few that will crack you up how easy it was with my hint. So, definitely check it by highlighting your mouse over the image (think IE shows the name) or by going to the image properties to view the alternate text field with the one word hint.

If you do a search in the database there are 31 pages of these games, which is quite scary. However, I did my best to show you a larger piece of the box art so may attention to the color themes and it might not be that harrd to find the game.

4 and 5 are excruciatingly difficult. I have all the rest, but great day. Although, it's pretty fair. A few were obvious, a few I had to think about, and two I just don't have any clue.
