I did not expect it to score above a 8.

I've heard numerous complaints about how short the game is. I planned on renting it but many sites are giving impressive scores...hmmmm.

Its the kind of game that promotes replayability, so the story may be 6 hours long but youre probbaly going to get loads more than 6 hours out of it.

The co-op modes sound refreshing too. Im just hoding fire for a PC demo.

I can't like a shooter where it takes 70 bullets to take a guy down. CliffyB will never win me over with this type of gameplay and 7 f-bombs a minute. It's too bad, too, because the controls are nice.

I can't like a shooter where it takes 70 bullets to take a guy down. CliffyB will never win me over with this type of gameplay and 7 f-bombs a minute. It's too bad, too, because the controls are nice.

Played the game for about 2 hours today, and it's pretty awesome. I got the 4 barrelled shotgun, and it is soooooo much fun to use. It actually cuts people in half. So far, I wou;d probably give it about an 8.5, but I'm curious to see how that score will hold up. One thing that reviewers have mentioned is that the game gives you a bunch of new guns in the beginning, but then doesn't give you any new ones towards the end. Judging by the number of guns I've gotten so far, this is probably true, but it's actually a pro for me. Lets me get to spend some good time with each gun.

They should just really put that article on the back of the box. After reading that, I knew this game would be fantastic.

Yeah, the "humor" doesn't do it for me on any level. Maybe when I was 14, but random belching, nonstop profanity, and a protagonist that looks like he should be riding the short bus doesn't work anymore. Thankfully, you're right: there's plenty of other (better) shooters to play.

To be honest, I don't know about better, because every shooter has its strengths and weaknesses. But whatever floats your boat! :)

It's a really, really fun game. About an hour into it and I would rate it an 8.5 judging from what I've played so far. Because the campaign is rumored to be kinda short, I don't know if it's wise to spend $60 on it. Perhaps, $40-50. But there's a lot of replayability.
