Like... I was planning to get a hold of Tales of Vesperia beforeI got a 360. Since that was the main reason I wanted a 360, and I wanted to make sure I can get a copy of it before I buy the system and find out I can't seem to get it. But it didn't work out that way since Future Shop had a deal where I can get a 360 for $70 off that would end really soon. So Ibought the system, then ordered the game off Amazon later.
Yes, I bought Valkyria Chronicles two years before I got my ps3. Thankfully a co worker needed someone to watch his house, so I did and used his ps3 and beat it :3
I've done it, I remember when the N64 came out it was just as hard to get the games as it was the consoles, so I got a hold of some games early, though I didn't have my name on a reserve list but it didn't matter, one day I walked into a game store being like "got any N64's in the back"... "umm, yeah" and I was like "will you sell me one" and they did... also worked for getting a Wii my roommate got a copy of Mario Kart Wii even though he doesn't have one, his sister though wanted to play online with us and I had a Wii so he had a copy of Mario Kart on Wii but no Wii... after he moved out he just gave it to me
I bought FFXII for the PS2 a few months ago since I have always wanted to try it. The only problem is that I don't have a PS2 but the game was cheap and in good condition. At least it looks nice standing there in my bookshelf...
Bought a couple of games for PS3 before I bought the system. I also had a collection of 20 xbox games that I'd bought, but I couldn't find a cheap xbox. (original xbox) managed to find one a couple of months later. I've also bought PC games on sale that my computer couldn't play, because I upgrade once in a while anyways.

That game is beyond epic, one of the most underrated games this gen.
Anyway, I bought Final Fantasy 9 two weeks before I got my PS for christmas.
I have some original xbox games, though bought with the intention of playing them on my 360. I bought Gran Turimso 2 despite not owning a PS - borrowed one over a holiday, played it loads, then gave it back with the console.
I've done that once before. I bought Tekken before I bought the PS1. But I was going to get the system a few weeks later. Other than that, never donethat again
I asked this because there are some games me and my friends want to get but only one of us have a Xbox 360. So, would it be normal to buy a game but have the person with the 360 basically keep it?
