Buy a Xbox One or PS4?

Hi guys...I've received my Christmas Bonus quite early...and now I can't decide which console to buy...the Xbox One is cheaper...but I just can't decide which one will be better in the long run....I like both console's exclusives....I can only afford one with extras and a few games at the moment..which one should I take through this generation?

look at the current / upcoming exclusives and decide which appeal to you the most, then factor in which one your friends own / will own, then any console specific features you like the look of e.g. kinect, then go from there.

having been a 360 owner last gen i decided to have a change this gen and go for a ps4. so far i've been really impressed and glad i did. however i will say there aren't a great deal of exclusives yet (the best being a remastered ps3 game which is kind of disappointing) and brand new game prices are high but, as far as exclusives and upcoming games go, the future looks bright

Are their any exclusives you want? just go for the console that has exclusives that appeal you the most. And just like what Macutchi said, take your friends taste in account too.

If I were you, I'd go for a PC but if you must choose between consoles then ok.

So far PS4 has better exclusives already out and coming in the very near future plus a bunch of multiplats, that's why I chose PS4 instead of X1 when I faced the same situation.

Get a ps4 and The Last Of Us Remastered, you wont regret:)

It all comes down which exclusives you like best and what your friends play (if you like to play online).

The only thing that really mattered to me when I got my Xbox One instead of a PS4 was the fact that all the people I play with online gotthemselves a One. I'm one of those guys who spends lots of time online, and I would have hated to have to spend lots of time on my own in GTA V or Destiny. The exclusives didn't appeal that much to me, both consoles have their fair share of exclusive titles.

Xbox fans are going to say Xbox, PS fans are going to say PS4. Personally, Im a PS fan, so you know what Im going to say. Ive personally always felt like the PS was superior to the Xbox (better performance, better controller, IMO) but Xbox does have a better online community, so take your pick.

Ive got some friends who are all Xbox and they all say if they didnt do online play, they wouldnt have an Xbox.

Factor in exclusives and which console friends have. Obviously Xbox for halo/forza or Playstation for Uncharted/Last of us. Both are promising consoles with a bright future but if u were to ask me which console is the better GAMING console, it is the ps4 for miles. The PS4 is more powerful, has more games, Sony has a stronger first party IMO, its more popular, and has arguably the best lineup of 2015. It also has shareplay, the best feature on a console ever which is exclusive to ps4. So I would say ps4 to be honest
