I have nvr played Half Life 2, save the demo. My Comp. specs are: Pentium D 2.8GHz, 1gb of ram, ATI radeon x600. yeah, i know it is a little dated, but i played the demo and it played fine. So... should i buy it for the PC or Xbox 360?

You're going to miss out on a ton of mods if you get it for the 360.

Hmm, well both versions will have their cons and pro's, so you just need to look at what you want out of the experience and make an informed decision. I myself will be purchasing the 360 version, seeing as I no longer play PC games. Either way, I think both versions will be damn near identical in terms of gameplay and features. Comes down to whether or not you prefer playing on your 360 or your PC.

Considering the fact that HL2 isn't taxing on most PC's I would definitely say go with the PC version. Not only will the game still look great with your PC, the longevity of the PC version far outlasts that of the 360 or PS3 versions.

PC, no question. It's an old game that runs great on a mid-range video card.

pc of course. Both HL2 and Episode1 will look a LOT better on PC with fakefaktory mod. Second TF2 supports 24 players on pc vs 16 on 360 (and as you can hear from Lombardi 12 vs 12 is the sweet spot). Third : controls. Gravity gun fun really suffers on a pad. Fourth: HL2 mods. You get many amazing ones, both SP( Minerva and Rock24 especialy) and also MP(Insurgency, which is the best MP this year so far) and last: Portal is a puzzle game. Puzzle games need level editors, you can bet there will be hundreds of amazing fan-made puzzles for Portal. User-created levels have done wonders for all the other puzzle games

PC version. Although the 360 version is going to be visually enhanced, mods give you a heck of a lot more "bang for your buck".

Visually enhanced? Both the PC and console versions will look the same with the edge most likely going to the PC due to increased resolution and AA.

Actually the Xbox 360 version of Halflife 2 will feature the visual enhancements introduced in episode 1 or 2(don't remember which one).

Get it for the PC. There are tons of mods to give the game an almost infinite life cycle. And Valve is constantly upgrading the Source engine for each iteration in the HL2 series.

If you can run it for the pc then Jesus get it . Mouse and keyboard for fps's are way better than controlllers .

Add the fact that you will have your hands open to alot of mods for the pc,andwell...just get it for the pc if you can run it period.

Get the pc version definatly, if it runs fine that is. the multiplayer community will be so much better for TFC first of all. xbox 360 if full of whining kids ranging from the age or 10-27 (complete guess and a bit of sarcasim, theres a lot of good people out there) the mods, the controls will be a bit smoother. although the controller is fine, the mouse will be a little helpfull for portal as there will be levels where you have to be a "ninja".
