Hey guys just was wondering if any of you are only able to get into multiplayer games. I find it very difficult to immerse myself into a single player game and I have no idea why I wasn't always like this and this has only been the case for the past year or so. The reason why I'm posting this is because I have a ton of games in my steam library that I know are great games but for some reason they bore me after an hour or so of play time. I don't know if its because I'm very competitive and beating an actual person is more fun to me than shooting/beating/killing AI but it's very frustrating I've spent a lot of money on really awesome SP games and I haven't played but maybe 10% of them Anyone else like this or knows what I'm talking about?

@bigtyme07:

Maybe it's just that you're a bit overwhelmed with the size or your backlog.

When it starts to feel like a chore then it can take the fun out of it.

So maybe buying less games or thinking a bit more carefully about how much free time you actually have might help.

well, if you like online games mostly, then you are an extravert personality, aren't you? You're constantly seeking cooperation, chat and partnership with other fellow gamers and just those who you see around in your real life. Whereas, SP games are more for introvert personality, who is more selfish and absorbed in himself.

So, it's time for you to stop wasting your money on SP games (sell the already bought ones) and go online!)

I've been playing a lot more online games lately, but my head would explode if I couldn't chill out with some SP games too.

I don't think it's that unusual. MP games offer a different experience every time - you're always playing with different skill levels of players and different maps. Whereas single player is usually the same "trial and error" experience with most games.

I'm pretty much the opposite. I've been having a lot of fun with Hearthstone, though. That might be the best multiplayer game I've ever played.

I find my self not wanting to play MP that much. To me they are too repetitive compared to SP.

What a load of bull. at least read up on Extrovert and Introvert before you try to act all clever.

Also a lot of Introvert people love multiplayer games, and being introvert has nothing to do with being selfish or absorbed with himself.

Of course not, i actually don't play a lot of multiplayer since i don't have any real need to be "social" with 12 year old kids who seems to be raised by Captain Haddock. and when i do play multiplayer i do it with real life friends.

I'd say it's the exact opposite for the most part. Gamers who tend to spend all their time in online games don't seem to have lives outside of gaming, while casual SP gamers enjoy these games to get away from all their friends and family to spend some time alone.

A large percent of the people I encounter in online games are anything but social. They are jack asses who go out of their way to behave bad, simply because they're hidden behind the game screen in comfy anonymity. If they were truly social, aka local multiplayer, they'd never act that way because they know they'd take an ass whipping.
