Can you run people over in Gran Turismo 5?

I'm thinking of buying it, but if this feature isn't the game, then I won't.

Wow...xD. I played a bit of GT on PS1 so unless it has a free roam feature or something with people walking around...I doubt it. GT is pure racing I think.

If you don't want to get it just because you can't run people over, then something is wrong with you man. I hope you don' have a driver's license.

Gran Turismo is not a free-roaming sandbox game. It's a racing simulator.

The aim of the game is winning races through driving ability. Not killing people.
