Cant remember a top down game?

You were a guy with bright red hair, the game was in top down view (Looking down ontop of the guys head)

I remember a few things about it: At the start, you walk across a bride and see a wizard-guy. You have to fight a giant robot in some futuristic place.

my guess is chrono trigger, you have red hair, and you fight the robot at the fair at the start, and you also travel to the future.
