Is 5 too young to get a video game system for Christmas? 

I am planning to give him a GBA and one or two "kiddie" games.

I think 5 is a fine age. My cousien was 5 when he got his gba and he played it just fine. It all depends on what games you get.

i got my gameboy color when i was 6 :D.

snes when i was 5.

im sure he can handle it. what games are you thinking of getting him?

No thats the age i started playing at, but get him a decent gba game at least.

Right now I just have Cartoon Network Speedway, and I am considering giving him Madden but most likely not. What would y'all reccomend?

Yeah 5 is a nice age to start him on games, a gba or perhaps a ds if you don't mind buyin it for someone so young, as for me I would just get him a gba heh

hmm there were some good mario games on the gba, pokemon is also good ( i got my copy when i was 6 so it's close enough)
