The festive season is soon upon us. So, are there any good christmas themed games out there? Off the top of my head I can't think of anything.

Can we count chistmas themed levels?

If so Freezeezy Peak in Banjo Kazooie is a good one.

The Grinch (PS1, DC) I have the PSversion and despite the reviews its actually quite fun. Nothing amazing but enjoyable. Its heavy on puzzle solving. Soif you like that then all the better.

For Legacy games? hmm... I know on the Xbox 360 there is quite a few Indie games that are Christmas themed... but I can't think of anything personally for retro gaming. Actually, the only thing I can think of is Nightmare Before Christmas on the PS2 :P.

Hah, some good choices here. I'll check them out. And yeah, christmas themed leves and next-gen games work also, I'm not gonna arrest anyone for that. I posted it here to include all consoles and systems.

Some games I like to play around this season because they have snow levels and Christmas related things are Duck Tales and Batman Returns.

Uncharted 2, Modern Warfare 2, Super Mario Bros. games usually have a couple of levels. Metroid games do too, Ice Climbers, Metal Gear Solid 1 and 4, 1080 snowboarding, Cool boarders, DKC, Snow Bros., and the Final Fantasy Series.

While not quite a legacy system yet, there's quite a few freeware / free to play Christmas themed games on the PC floating around in the ether that might amuse you.

There's Downhill Santa, Elf Bowling, Elf Bowling 2, Elf Balls, Icebreaker, Snowcraft, Tux Racer, Yeti Sports, Winter Bells and a game that continues to make me feel warm and fuzzy all over, Santa Under Siege.

A simple Google search should find them but if you're having trouble, send me a message and I'll point you in the right direction.

Christmas Nights on the Sega Saturn.

laurensnaudts

First post beat me to it. Ouch.

And I'm pretty sure this is the best answer for a christmas game that feels like itschristmas themed and is actually really fun.

Yeah, PC freeware games seem to be in the majority when it comes to christmas themed games. Other than Christmas Nights that some people have mentioned, christmas themed games don't seem to be a hit on consoles.
