I brought jericho about a 3 weeks ago and started it last night, got through it very quickly and completed it today, i enjoyed it but didnt find it as scary as i thought it was going to be. I enjoyed the QTE's and the magic mechanics. What did you think about the game?

It's an ok game. Nice lighting effects and a few cool powers (guided bullet is great fun). The environments are too cramped for 5 people though, you always end up bumping into teammates and getting slaughtered by those large exploding enemies which are too many and too hard to stop in time, resulting in cheap deaths. Some of the bosses are too tricky to figure out what to do to kill them and minibosses are repeated too many times in a row (those big bulldog things emerging from the river of entrails, for instance) Checkpoints are too few and far between as well, resulting in frustration, especially when you're controlling a single character and can't be revived.

I liked it for what it was. The shooting felt solid enough the characters and story were alright enough i guess. I think that was really the problem with that game though. Everything is just average from the graphics to the story stuff and what not. There's a ton of wasted potential when it comes to that game and probably the biggest issue being no co op in a game that literally has you playing with a squad of team mates the whole time.

It was a god awful mess that was horribly repetitive.

It had a lot of potential, it definitely had a clive barker feel somewhere in there but at the end of the day it was a very boring and very mediocre shooter that was quickly forgotten and had no business bearing clives name on it.

The ending is too sudden and kind of a "allright, you beat it. Here are some credits. Goodbye.

Enemy AI was just awful.

Every level was really confined and didnt have any cool look or feel to them.

The entire game felt like it was a copy of painkiller in terms of visuals.

The characters all felt very held back. They had a lot of potential to be cool but they just each had their own archetype and stuck to it till the end.

I was dissapointed clive didnt actually have much to do with the game. He basically just wrote the games premise and gave a few ideas, but he didnt actually help with the game or stay on once it got going.

Jericho was a good idea at its core but ultimately it was a failure because it didnt capitilize on any of its strengths.

i loved it

it was a fun ride

i didnt think it was scary, but i still loved the horror setting and design

switching characters on the fly made combat more involved and rarely boring

it had its faults, but i dont remember any of the bad things about the game, just the good times

The only thing that bothered me was the ending.

I have a mixed response. I played it years ago, but remember how frustrating the gameplay was: AI partners kept dying, constantly respawning enemies in certain battles, hard boss fights. The level design was confined and made dying that bit more annoying.

I liked the atmosphere, the ability to switch at will, variety of powers available, and creature designs. Overall I rated and reviewed it 6/10, and wouldn't play it again.

Go download Undying on Good Old Games if you want a great Clive Barker game. Jericho was a neat idea that was poorly executed. Undying, on the other hand, still holds up well today, and has genuine thrills and chills.

Undying is a genuinely frightening game, like bone-chilling. Too bad the gunplay is a bit frustrating

Cool concept and idea. I would say it was underrated, but it could also be better.

One of the biggest disapointments of the gen for me,pretty average game especially considering the amazing 2001 classic Undying, that´s the one everyone should play.

It was only marginally less disturbing than Dante's. The final boss was annoying. The complete lack of an ending was appalling. That's really all I have to say about it.

It's a pretty fun game, nothing special but it does what it does well.

I liked it. I just thought that the game needed to be longer. There were too many characters to try and put them all into a short game. I never understood who that gargoyle guy was or what he was trying to do.
