This is one for the old timers like myself.

Did you ever own a Commodore Amiga computer? If so, what games do you remember playing back then?

My all-stars list:

- The Secret of Monkey Island
- Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (point and click version)
- Crazy Seasons
- Rainbow Islands
- Bubble Bobble
- Parasol Stars
- The Addams Family
- Turrican
- Prince of Persia
- Impossible Mission 2
- Hang-On
- Continental Circus
- Final Fight
- Street Fighter 2
- Golden Axe
- James Pond
- The New Zealand Story
- The Blues Brothers
- Agony
- Shadow of the Beast
- Chuck Rock

...more

Footnote: I still proudly own my Amiga, though I don't have the games anymore.

Those were great times.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, the Amiga, my dad bought one just after I was born, got me into gaming. I remember playing great games like:

  • Lemmings
  • Syndicate
  • Wizardry VI
  • Wing Commander
  • The Settlers
  • Alien Breed (not sure if this is the right name)

...and many other games.....good times

The Amiga version of Pirates! was the best out there. I still keep my A500 around to play it now and then. I also played the Hero's Quest/Quest for Glory series on my Amiga, Star Control 2, Turrican, Megaball (Arkanoid clone, but much cooler), Lemmings... there were a lot of great games on the Amiga. Scorched Earth was an awesome multiplayer game that I'd like to see show up on XBLA someday.

Wing Commander was on the Amiga? Cool, didn't even know that.

Of course I remember Megaball, it was a really good game, even better than Arkanoid (which was fun as well, though mouse imput was a lil' awkward in it).

As for Alien Breed, yes, it's the right title (providing you mean the top-down shooter with the marine inside a xenomorph-infested base).

By the way, if you still haven't, check this one out: 100 Amiga games in 10 minutes. Awesome!
