I see numerous threads of people asking where to find this game or that system, so I want to compile a list of all sites that buy, sell, trade, etc and hopefully get it stickied. If anyone has any other sites or suggestions, please let me know. Please bump this if you'd like to see this stickied as well. Thanks!

INTERNET:

Ebay

Half (A subsidiary of Ebay, but not an auction based site.)

Amazon

Game Gavel (Similar to Ebay, but designed more for gaming.)

eStarland

Atari 2600 (Great selection of legacy systems and games.)

Cheap Ass Gamer (Not a store, but you can interact with people on the forums to do trades/sales/etc as well as find good deals.)

Game TZ (Similar to Cheap Ass Gamer.)

Goozex (Another site similar to Cheap Ass Gamer.)

JJ Games

Craigslist

Collector's Cards & Games

Lukie Games

DK Oldies

Game Dude

Stone Age Gamer

Nintendo Repair Shop

Shop Goodwill (Similar to ebay.)

Play Asia (Japanese imports.)

Segagaga Doman Store (Also Japanese imports.)

LOCAL:

Flea Markets

Garage Sales

Newspaper (or place an add saying you're looking for games/systems/etc.)

Pawn Shops

Thrift Shops

Use Music Shops (Not all do, but some)

A1 Game Exchange and VIP Game Store (Local location only for the Boise, Idaho area.)

Cap'n Games (Don't know much about this site, but they do sell legacy games online and they have a store in Reno, Nevada)

Xbox 360 Arcade / PlayStation Network / Wii Virtual Console (Great places to find some retro games.)

FOR THE FOLKS IN EUROPE:

Retro Games

Genki Video Games (Only deals with Japanese imports.)

Console Passion

OTHER:

Briel Computers (Sells replicas of older computers if you enjoy those systems.)

Disc Replay (Locations in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Michigan if you're in the area.)

here is one , the Segagaga domain store

http://www.segagagadomain.com/store/the-store.htm

this is a Japan based website, that's also a database of sorts of various games on various Sega consoles, so thats useful too.

the shop mainly has Japanese Saturn games and hardware, but if youre looking for that, this is a good website.

my experience with flea markets and old games is pretty bad... Usually the stuff they have is very common with niche appeal (i.e. lots of old sports games, I mean, I like SNES hockey games, but I only really need one)

thats true, whenever I go to the 2nd hand shop to find any old games, you find alot of them are either sports games , or the really common game everybody and their cousing alreadu have.

Awesome, thanks for the links. I didn't use Das Cheap due to the insane prices they're charging for retro (you can get them much cheaper practically everywhere else), as well as their prices for new are standard across the board, but thanks for the link anyways.

I'm going to Bookmark this article just so I can remember to check out all those sites! I have noticed some of them are rather expensive and you save a bit more off Amazon, or EBay. I guess most game stores know how good some of those older games are, and the appeal they generate.

I appreciate the bump, I definitely find most of my good deals on Amazon and Ebay, but every once in a while I find something good at some of these other sites.
