I haven't played any of the renowned space sims like Elite and Wing Commander. I also haven't given any 4x classics like Civilization and Master of Orion a try.
That list is endless. I started gaming relatively late in my life and it only started becoming a real hobby about four years ago. My first shooter was MOHAA. I can savely say I haven't played any shooters before that period (although I did attempt to finish Half Life once, but I got stuck half way and it was after I played Half Life 2). I haven't played any mp or online focused classics. I haven't played any games that are exclusive to consoles (including games that got a pc release much later and games you can play through emulators), apart from playing parts of Metal Gear Solid once. Then there are entire genres I don't play, like fighting games and most sports games (I played a few Fifa's). I can hardly keep up with recent games, so I have little time to go back and play some of the old classics.
Maybe it'd be better if I'd just name the 'classics' I have actually played.
Basically any Xbox exclusive franchise (Gears of War, Halo, Forza, etc.)
Same thing with PC
Super Mario Galaxy 2
And tons of others, I'm sure. But those are the main ones that I would probably like if I could actually play them or could be assed to go all the way back and start from the beginning.
Seriously though, all the high rated ps3 exclusive games, elder scrolls series, fallout 3, baldur's gate, most jrpg's( only played chrono series, ff6 and ff7) etc.
Oh almost forgot. All the zelda games except twilight princess.
There's more I'm sure who has time to play all the games that are out there? I'm not into SIMs games, strategy games or simulators. I'm also not that into indie games.
I make time for the games I love and try out others I'm not sure about.
there are of course many games that i haven't played , i have about 10 games on xbox , 30 games on xbox 360 and around 30 games on PC . but here are some games that i was always interested , but never got the chance ...
Civilization , Zelda , Fallout , original Deus Ex , Star wars kotor 2 , Any telltale game , Witcher 1, Dragon age , Prince of persia forgotten sands , Halo wars ...
I usually don't play Sports games or Fighters so stuff like Madden, NBA anything, and FIFA are not games I play. I also don't play most fighters. Other than that about the only popular game I haven't played is Ghosts.
I concur with Baldur's Gate. I too have never played Castlevania. RE4. Pikmin. I have never played Phantasy Star. I have never played Pokemon Blue (I was a Red player.) Panzer Dragoon Saga. Planescape. Ultima. Civ. I'm not sure I played straight up Pitfall. FFX. MGS3/MGS4. LOZ:TP. Sims. Monster Hunter. I have never played Chrono Trigger... or did I? EVE. Ys. Mana Series. Earthbound.
Halo 4, the whole GTA series and a few others that might make you look at me funny! lol....even though I'm a hardcore gamer, I don't base my purchase's off popularity, I'm very selective.
I would list all the games I haven't played but I'm sure there is some sort of character limit for a post and I really don't want to flood this thread with 20 pages that lists them all.
To anyone who says Half Life, you should throw the two expansions in there as well.

As for me, given my taste in games (such as my love of Half Life), I'm somewhat bothered having never played the Metroid Prime trilogy since all I hear is that they are exactly what I want. I have a friend willing to let me borrow his Wii and Metroid Prime trilogy. When I have time to sit down for that I'll take him up on his offer.
