How do you pack your consoles when you're moving them around? For my PSone, I've put it in this kind of 'book bag'. I can fit the slim console, power adaptor, av cables, 2 controllers and 15 games just about, and carry it around. My N64 is packed in a rucksack with two controllers, av and power cables and 8 loose carts. I'm getting an Xbox 360 slim for Xmas, and I wondered what the best way of transporting this would be. In general, the newer consoles seem a lot more delicate than the older ones.

I really don't move a lot of my older consoles, but I do move my PSone and Xbox 360 quite a bit. For my PSone I have an official PSX bag that works perfectly! For my 360 I use my trusty old backpack. It has an elastic pocket for a laptop that fits the actual console very well.

My old consoles I just stuff in a bag and carry around. It's fine as long as you're being careful handeling the bag. If I need to carry my ps3 around I wrap it in the cloth that it came with and stuff it in my backpack.

I have a messenger bag designed for the 360 that I use to carry it in. It holds the system, all cords and power supply, 2 controllers, and 2 games.

The only issue is the lack of game storage, though if it is a short trip either 2 games is enough or I throw a few more in my duffel.

I used to have an "official" Playstation carrying bag for my original Playstation. It came free with it from some store as a promotion. Black with the original Playstation logo on the front. It was very nice and sturdy. It had an over the shoulder strap. It had a spots specifically made for the console, controllers, games, and even memory cards. I wish I would have held onto it now, it would be a nice piece in the collection.

I've had this bag ever since the 80's that I would use for all my systems if I was taking them somewhere.

my only case is a little pouch for my Atari Lynx (plus like 10-12 games). It's designed for the model1, but my model2 fits in it ok. If i ever have to move my xbox360, i just put it in it's original box. dont have any boxes/cases for my other consoles. but they really dont go anywhere. and I have a bag for my laptop of course, but that's not really legacy console related.

I just carry my ps2 slim to school, where I work, in my teaching bag. Fits perfectly. Love the slim ones!

I used to tour extensively with a band, and I found that Pelican makes some great cases which can be easily modified to hold systems and periphera (they make a gun case that's great for PS2 slims). They're bullet-proof for check-in on a plane, you can drop them from heights (not that you would, intentionally)...

Hell yes! That thing is a beast, you can seriously fit just about anything in there, even multiple systems if they're small enough.

That's cool. I also used to play in a band and go on tour. Usually I just brought my GB and a few games. If we went by nightliner then we had 2 Ps2s (one on each floor) The one in the sitting area was for watching movies and the one near the bunks for playing games.

What band did you tour with (if you don't mind me asking)?
