copyrights question (patching the games ,is it illegal ?)

applying patches to games , is it illegal ?

i need to add my local home league to games pro evolution soccer and i found some patches which add leagues,commentaries,backgrounds,scoreboards,stadiums to the game

am i allowed to apply these patches to ur games or itis an illegal work

It likely breakes the EULA that you agreed to. But its not actually illegal or punishable by any law to simply modify the contents of the game, whether by adding or unlocking content.

Patching a game to circumvent its protection (i.e. cracking a game to run without DRM) is illegal.
