According to Activision and Charlie Intel, Only 1% have ever logged into the multiplayer. So when you see the 100s of 1000s online, you have to wonder what is number of those who did the campaign.

Probably have to at this moment...pretty sure nobody would pay full price with just multiplayer for COD.

@speedytimsi: It seems as though you are a campaign only player...There are really a lot of good things on multiplayer. Maps and the overall experience is so much more entertaining, and you can only replay the campaign so many times. It makes sense and I would like to do an actual video on this subject, so you honest is opinion is valued. Throw me a bone!

I honestly always assumed this to be the opposite. I remember reading an article a few years ago regarding how most players don't even play the campaign or have any interest in it. The same concept goes with Halo and similar games within this genre. I personally like playing the campaign. I don't play many online games. No one talks to each other. No one works together. Any game which forces players to work together for an objective don't last long. Sad reality. To go back to your original topic. I remember playing Call of Duty before it was all hyped up and started to become a huge success. Those stories were great!

@TheDarkWolf86: I also prefer the multiplayer over the campaign, but it's interesting to know the percentage base, huh.

I actually prefer both multiplayer and single player but I mostly enjoy Single Player. I'm not really that good when it comes to multiplayer.

@currygaminginc: It is. I'm curious how long it will be until more games are released with online only? Did you ever play WarHawk for the PS3? Great game. No campaign.

I know a lot of people that just play the MP. I think it could. I think it would greatly reduce the sales though. They'd be basically be selling half the game for full price which I could see Activision doing.
