Could there be any one that likes games but has a small collection?

Just wondering if there are any gamers at there that have small collections of games (maybe 20 or less tops). I was shocked to see a member on gamespot had about 25 or so games in all. This was inlcuding the ps3,pc and ps2. Anyone out there not much of a collector but just maybe gets a game or so here and there? And could any gamer in the world have about 20 or less games out there in total? Thanks

A good friend of mine has like 10 games. As soon as he feels that he is completely done with a game, he will sell it or trade it in.

I've got 9 PS1 games, 19 PS2 games, and 1 PS3 game. Of course I just got the PS3 a couple weeks ago. I dunno, my interest in gaming waxes and wanes. I might play every night for a month or two, then not touch a game again for a year. TV has gotten so awful that I absolutely can't watch it anymore, so I've been getting more into gaming lately.

At the moment I have only 6 360 games and 3 original Xbox games.

I've bought a lot of games, but I also traded in many games in which I lost interest after finishing them.

Right now i have about 25 games, although I've sold/traded in games that I haven't enjoyed. I only keep games that I love to play more than once.

Alot of people don't update what games they own on here. For example, I personally own over 300 games but my GS page says I own about 130. Why? Because I haven't updated it in almost 2 years!

If you're curious about someones collection size just send them a PM. :)

One possibility is that the person rents games, I use to do it when I was younger with n64 games.

I'm one of those people. I love playing video games in my free time, but I'm not addicted to them. I have 23 games total, several of which I don't even play because I want to get rid of them. From now on, I'm planning on buying games that have good replay value, and I'll just rent the rest to save money.

I buy about 4 games a year between PS3 and 360. (Most people with big collections just got money to blow) Competitive MP is all you need. I LOVE GAMES, but to be honest even some of the AAA titles weren't worth my coin and I sort of regret. (W@W, GeOW2, RE5, Halo3) Screw how many games you own but how good you are at those games. If your weak you need not apply...

As I said above, I have 140+ Xbox games; I've spent about $1,100 over a period of five years, which is about the price of 18 new games. I don't have money to blow, but I have made smart purchases. I pretty much only buy games anymore. A few books, a movie or cd every now and then, but most of my money is toward games. Of course, that changes when I get a job and start paying on student loans...

I've beaten 79 games but only have like 10 dics right now. I put all the games I've beaten in my gamespot collection: rented, borrowed, or bought.

I've played hundreds of games, but my collection is pretty small. Maybe 30-40 games in all, but lots of those ones are from the NES/SNES days.

In terms of modern games though I have almost nothing. I used to own a ton of games though. Lots of N64, Dreamcast, PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox games, but somehow they've all gone one way or another.

Now I'm trying to build back my collection, but with bills to pay I have less money to buy games with.

I have about 11 PS2 games and 9 PC games. I just got into PC games four months ago and most are Steam version games. I used to use Gamefly when I was into the PS2 which is why I don't have very much I traded and sold most of them. I don't have very much because mostly it's of inconvience and I have very small group of games that I want/decide to buy.

There's lots of hardcore gamers out there who only have a handful of games. A lot of people sell their games after they're done playing them, and some people just use gamefly.

I own about 36 games--and I make sure that they all have the case and instruction manual. It's just a complex I have or something. I also make sure that I've beaten the last game I bought before buying a new one. Sometimes there just aren't any games that I want to buy and resort to playing ones I already own. That's what I don't understand about people who play games to beat them and then return them...not having games you enjoyed to go back and play seems a little contradictory to the idea of buying a game. I don't know, just an opinion.

It's difficult at best to go by the Games List in a person's profile.

Some get so caught up in forum posting they don't even list their games. Forum posting gives you the smallest amount of points to your level, go figure.:P

I have a few games that GameSpot doesn't even list. Kind of impossible to list them when they aren't there in the first place.

Well, I also have that "complex" of yours. All of my games have the case and instruction manual. I also agree with your other statement. I play some games I've beaten simply because I liked them.

I would guess there are plenty of hardcore gamers who simply can't afford to keep buying games and finish one then trade in towards another.

Not me though...I have 200+ titles XD

Exactly. The whole packaing is vital. And nothing beats inserting an old game from your collection and having that great nostalgia feel. My main console is PS2 so I have around 30 games on there. The past year my collection has multplied by my recent obsession of RPGs.

Some people also seem to forget that not every country has such a 'healthy' used game market as the UK and US. In some countries the prospect of trading in games towards new ones is not an option, for others their financial situation doesn't allow it. I absolutely love games, but I simply don't have the money to buy more than a couple of games a year, especially now as I am looking for a job. Maybe when things get better I will be able to, but I don't think a persons turnover of games or even collection constitues whether you like or don't like games.

That being said I have a pretty healthy collection of games, since I am a bit of a collector, but also just can't be bothered to keep a profile updated.
