I love them, making your own character but I reckon one feature is missing far too often:

Choosing whether your character is left or right handed.

yes it adds nothing in terms of gameplay but i think it would be quite nice to see, especailly in online games.

Opinions, thoughts?

I think its awesome anytime a game allows me to create a character. Mortal Kombat and Saints Row are probably the best 2 examples of the way developers should make character creation possible. Theirs so many combinations and its always funny to make crazy looking characters for others to play against.

Yeah, why can't they choose to be left or right handed? It isn't really your OWN character unless you can choose what hand she/he uses. And yeah, its not much of a factor, but its nice

I think more games should have extremly detailed customization options, including weapons and other things that you can carry around.

i nearly always have a fit of happiness whenever i get to customise my character. I spend more time creating my avatar then in the game it seems, just cause its so fun!

I would lov to be able to choose what hand they are! Maybe also if they are an innie or an outie :p. Also id quite like a birth mark feature. Characters never seem to have nasty blemishes or markings on their faces...

Adding an option like that would mean having to add a whole different set of animations for a character.
