Mass Effect look incredible, but if you got extra cash.. don't ever rule out the guys at Top Cow and go reserve your copy of Darkness now. It'll be out by the 27th of his month. Mass Effect is looking more like November at this point.

this year that really ain't saying much. it's an action rpg with sci fi settings and guns so it's a shooter. great way to make a rpg catered on just Current Xbox lovers, now those who don't love Xbox will still stay away. For me Blue Dragon is gonna be more my style and what i like to play so for me Blue Dragon should win RPG of the year. My friend Imported it and it's the first next Gen JRPG and it's just pure amazing. Mass Effect is to Sci Fi for me i see it having some really crazy conventions one day. I just hate Sci Fi cause of the termiolgy they always make up for the weapons, equipment etc etc etc.. i always think of Star trek cause they did that the most. But most of all i just can't get immersed cause it's to extreme, and unbeleavable. I have a better time beleaving something that happen before our time or on another world, than Space Travel since it's 2007 and we still havn't seen Aliens let alone a Star Feet enterprice need help from earth to kill the klingons. So it's just to unbeleavable for me. i liked Star Wars but i was a kid so cut me some slack.
I cannot wait 'til September if thatis when it comes out. I want it buy at least July so I can play it over the summer. If it comes out during school time I will neglect my homework and my grades will fall farther then they are.

totally agree. Although the graphics in Blue Dragon look amazing, the gameplay seems older than time (not in a good way). O yea, btw Mass Effect's release date is 09/03/07. yee-ah!

Akira Toriyama was the "creator" of Dragon Ball Z (he basically riped off a chinese tale called Journey West to create SonGoku) but the guy just has been extremely lucky because he got pick to be the Art Director and Character Designer for every Dragon Quest game, hence he became extremely popular. He also made the character design for Chrono Trigger, arguably the best SNES game ever.
SciFi, imo, the graphics in Blue Dragon are really good. They're not why I'm not interested in the game. I just think Blue Dragon looks boring. It seems to have the same gameplay as DQVIII, which is basically running around and killing the same stuff over and over and over again. Pretty tedious and boring. Even Akira Toriyama can't save an RPG from bad gameplay with his artwork.
btw, christmas is basically coming early for 360 owners. Halo 3 and Mass Effect both are coming out in September. I know it sounds too good to be true, but it actually isnt.
