I was thinking about picking up this game because I think I can find it cheap, but is it truly mediocre like the score GS gave it?

Ok thanks I actually have Bayonetta and love it, but if it's not great then I won't get it. Is Devil May Cry 4 worth picking up? I could definitely get that cheap.
i wouldnt recommend it. you can get a good deal on superior games like dmc3, god of war collection, and ninja gaiden sigma. if full price isnt a worry, get god of war 3 or heavenly sword.Ok thanks I actually have Bayonetta and love it, but if it's not great then I won't get it. DMC3 isnt even on the same system, and 4 is way better than it.

only graphically. 4's level design is absolutely terrible. backtracking is a chore as its literally just walking backwards (its not like a similar game such as god war, where you come back to a few areas in different angles as part of a larger more rewarding puzzle and experience things more fully). the combat system took a hit as well. nero is not as customizable as dante, and fighting your own way is a huge plus of part 3. when things finally do open up, the weapons just never match up to part 3. plus the difficultly was dumbed down. you have to slog through the easier modes to unlock the harder difficulty levels in order to get anything out of the combat system. dmc3 is simply the finer tuned game. Please Log In to post.
