Just curious, has anyone heard if they are planning on making Dark Cloud 3? I loved the 1st and would love to either see a remake or a new edition in the series. So can anyone help me out?
No, but I liked the first, too. I didn't play much of the second, but I am aware of the improved weapon customization. BranKetra
Yeah I agree, the 2nd disappointed me. I am shocked no news or nothing to the series has been released in a long time cuz Dark Cloud was the s*** in its day.

I just didn't play much of it. Anyway, the first was pretty fun. Now that I think about it, it wasn't any particular gameplay mechanic that I liked. It was everything. The story tied it all together. If it was just dungeon crawling or a town developer, I don't think it would have been as fun.
dark cloud 2 was a bit childish early on compared to its predecessor but its gameplay was uber addictive and uber fun. i recommend it to anyone who like action rpg's

nope, as of now there is no plan for a DC2, I actually enjoyed both games as well, especially the second one.
i personally hated DC1 weapon degradation system, DC2 to me was one of my favorite ps2 games with all the side things you could do (invent,take pictures, customize your robot, go fishing (which had a awesome minigame), fish racing, golfing(also which had a awesome mini game), etc) and in general i really enjoyed the games aesthetic look and mixture of magic and technology. when dc 3 will come out? Who the hell knows there to focused making white bird crap chronicles to actually make a decent title...
I really hope they do make Dark Cloud 3 for PS3 some day, but I don't think it'll happen.
It seems like Level 5 is concentrating on White Knight Chronicles now, which is still a good game series, but I much prefer the gameplay of the Dark Cloud games.
