Dark Souls Sequel

From Software announced that they were going to make a sequel to dark souls, and it would continue the story. What would you like to see in this? and also which story?

I personally think it would be interesting if they made a sequel which takes place after your character from the previous game becomes the new dark lord. This would be a challenge for From though because that would meen they would have to think of an entirely new respawn system (no more bonfires). Also they would have you fighting enemies who are not undead because no more bonfires.

Honestly I just want to see what they do next, and what creepy new enemies, bosses, and locations they think of this time. Thoughts?

Wouldn't it be a good idea to allow the game to simmer? In that a sequel shouldn't be rushed? This is the very behaviour that has destroyed so many brands that were once great.

Wouldn't that lead to snow ball effect? They start adding elements that are not truly compatible, which can lead into other additions of more incompatible ideas. Wouldn't that deviate too much from the original.

I know it's hard to believe, but the Souls games do have story. They just don't present the whole thing upfront, instead letting you discover little bits and pieces as you go. If you look around the wiki's for the games, you'll see there's a ton of stuff going on in those games.

i really just hope they dont over do it. nobody loves the souls games more than me, but id hate to see them cranked out on schedule like in an assembly line. give the series some time to breath and to grow, maybe come back to it later if need be, and ill surely buy it and probably love it. ill definitely look for games from miyazaki's team in the meantime.

Honestly I'd be surprised if there wasn't another Souls game, seeing as how Dark Souls was quite successful for the size of its budget. I imagine Namco Bandai is probably trying to convince From Software to work another (if they haven't already). If they do have one in the works though, I hope it comes out for next gen consoles, not the current gen.

Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are the best RPG's this generation. Trolls that never played the game use this excuse to try to bring the game's quality down, it's all they got. Some critic who reviewed the game and sucked at it said, "there's no story at all" and the trolls ran with it despite the fact that there most certainly is a story, it's just slowly revealed to those that seek it out. Meanwhile, they have no clue what the hell they're talking about and should probably kill themselves and do us all a favor.
