DOW2 is unspecific as to what tendril of the Tyranids it is, but if you look on the screen to go between planets, all of that brown is the Hive Fleet.

ummm... well a fleet like Kraken had ships that was as big as a planet by themselves... I guess a fleet might be about the largest thing you could imagine ^^

The tyranids are somewhat mysterious tho... In the Fluff it is speculated that the Tyranid fleets so far only been scout fleets, to absorbe knowlage of the known part of space.

If you look at the size of a tyranid model in battlefleet gothic, it becomes kinda clear that these fleets like Kracken, must be freakin huge... well anything is 40k is huge :S
