Tekken 3. I used to be a real Arcane Kid, spend every Sunday in Newquey going round all the arcades. My favorites were them scrolling beat um ups like Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, D&D Arcade and that really cool arcade version of Golden Axe that had that short dude with the spiky hair and a pitch fork. I had my brother around with me most the time, we also invited other kids to play with us. I remember the owner to the arcade with D&D would always join us when he saw us gathering round it.
Miss it. I think only Japan has that culture now, but whatever, it's certainly dead here.
Edit: I think that it's only big in Japan because it's full of school girls jumping up and down on them dance mat thingies. It's kind of a place older guys go to pick them up and take them home, for sausages and Scotch eggs.
Coin-Op gaming is not dead by any means. The thing is everybody says it is so everyone follows along.
New arcade machines come with ethernet ports and have elaborate online ranking systems and magnetic cards that allow you to save your data. Everybody says "well bleh bleh bleh consoles have so much more than the arcade". But I do not know where they get this information.

Where I come from, the South West of England, arcade is very much dead. There isn't an arcade for 400 miles that something more then a place stuffed with slot machines, a few pool tables and maybe Saga Rally (oooh Selection!) You might even find one of them games where you gotta grab a teddy with a robot arm.
If think the only place I found a full running games arcade was in Alton Towers, after you come out the Oblivion ride. It seems only very few select areas can support a proper arcade these days.
