Why did they stop putting demos in the games you buy?

As stated, most people can just download the demo. However, I like opening up a game, looking through its files and finding a surprise demo. For instance, Full Throttle had a demo of Star Wars: Dark forces. It had I think one or two levels, but still is very cool.

Actually, Brawl has demos for classic Nintendo games, all of which just happen to be downloadable from the Virtual Console. However, I wish they would let you download demos from the Wii Store and just give you a few levels to play instead of a 1-minute trial.
