Destiny do you play it?

Hey guys just got my copy of destiny today and played a couple hours, just wondering what your first impressions are? im personally having a blast, loving the atmosphere and the gameplay but it seems you need to cooperate with others when you get at higher levels in order to progress and that might be a problem if people ain`t got mics. I managed to lonewolf to lv 4 today and tbh i felt it was getting kinda hard at the end there all by my self.

Thoughts?

Here is my very first 20 min of gameplay with intro (spoiler alert) if you havn`t played it yet or watch it if you don`t mind. The intro is pretty good and got some cool gameplay in there as well.

I bought the game yesterday but I've been to busy to play it but I can't waitto jump into the game.

I bought it for the Xbox One.

I am going to play it today, i played the beta. So i already know what i am in for

I ordered it for 360 . hope it gets here tomorrow .

Heard about that game and it looks promising, i wanna add that game on my games since i only played Rohan atm since they opened a new server.

Bought it yesterday. Went out and came back late so Im going to play it for the first time today. Stoked!

Im playing it on the ps3 right now but i have heard you will get the ps4 and xbox one version for "free" if you bought it on last gen consoles, i`ve also heard that your stats/characters will follow over to your profile on the next gen systems. Can anyone confirm this? Im planning on playing this game for a while and i know this game is gonna be a big hit, i can tell allready by now that this game is something special. This game is just epic!:)

So far I'm enjoying it... The story started out a bit slow but is starting to pick up now. I actually tried a strike mission with 2 others yesterday, and coming from someone who doesn't really like MP gaming, I thought it was quite good... and stressful!

Playing it now (PS4). Not far in at all, just started opening up the Moon's locations.

I bought it on 360 so I got free xbox one upgrade.

PS4PRO's review is out as well...

It's a more positive one this time around.

I don't know... Still not decided yet... They are writing some interesting things, but I am not sure this game is for me... :?

I am playing it right now, so excited for this

I got the Xbox One version Monday at midnight and I'm absolutely loving this game. Excellent graphics, sound and gameplay. So far I've done the story and strike missions on Earth, Moon, and Venus. The strike missions have been pretty intense. Played about a dozen or so Crucible mp matches and those have been quite enjoyable as well.

@Archangel3371: What do you think of the story overall? I think it's interesting, especially with how they tie into the grimmoire cards you unlock on the main website (which you should read if you really wanna get into the world). And as I've likely stated in another post, it feels as though the plot is there to build your guardian up as the one who can save the universe, and the rest of the end-game is gonna be you proving that to the rest of the world.

I really don`t care what people say about this game, it has gotten some critisism and that`s fair enough but these people probably had way to much expectations to begin with, to me though it`s all about the atmosphere, the gameplay, the way you build your character etc, the whole setting and the universe this game has is just spot on for me. Im having such great time when i play this game and can`t wait to boot my game up and jump right back in again.

Im at lv 8 now playing as Titan Human.

When im done with the storymode im gonna make one hell of a Destiny Montage to show people what this game is about. Have been recording everything since day 1 and got some really nice gameplay footage on my computer allready.

It's a good game no doubt, but I don't think it's anything as special as the hype suggested it was going to be.

I was barely aware of the fact that it even came out. It looks so impossibly boring and uninteresting in every way.

@jimmy_russell: Why is it noobish to play shooters on consoles?

I heard the game lacks in story though, according to an article I read, otherwise gameplay, loot collecting, co-op, and online play are fun.

There isn't much loot collecting its a full time job and my exp with online PvP wasn't fun since I was level 7 and the other 11 were 20+ rank, needless to say I got slaughtered and it had nothing to do with skill. The gameplay is you just mowing down enemies that never stop spawning, if you move 5 feet from the area they'll respawn if you move the camera the other way they respawn. I killed some enemies moved a few feet away to snipe some other enemies and literally 15 seconds later i was getting shot in the back by the newly respawned enemies i just killed.

I also don't understand and maybe someone can tell me but when you get to the "boss areas" or the no respawn areas, what happens to the other players? I've followed other players to this point and they just disappear, do you have to be on the same fireteam or are these parts only done solo??

I mean there might be not much loot collecting, but there are still at least some rare items that you might try to get.

Also, Online pvp doesn't match you with similar leveled/skilled players?

Online seems to just be whoever joins, I played about 5 more matches last night and There were people from Rank 5 thru 20+ So it seems it just takes whoever wants to play online and puts them together. Online dosen't unlock til rank 5, but you play against all ranks.

Loving it so far, it's around an 8 or 9ish for me

Bored me to death will probably return it next week.

@The_Last_Ride: Same here,loving it. i would probably give it an 8, only because it lacks story but the gameplay and the whole atmosphere is awesome. It reminds me of Phantasy star online in 1st person:)

Yeah i think the game is getting slaughtered for no reason

@The_Last_Ride: I think the reason is because they expected more from Bungie and it was way overhyped, if it was from a smaller gaming company it would be much more welcomed and given a higher score. Im glad im never getting affected by reviews and manage to make up my own mind. This is definetly not a 6.

i agree, that's why i decided to get it after the beta. I like it and i think it's worth my money. I think reviewers got caught up in the hype

While it lacks in story, the lore is there but you have to read the grimoire cards on the bungie site, I'd easily give this game a 8.5 and I've already put a good 20+ hours into the game

I finished the campaign, played several strikes, a number of patrol missions, and numerous crucibal matches. I think the game is great and would give it a solid 8. It's a great foundation for what I expect will be a long running game that Bungie will regularly update with events and content. I'm really looking forward to continuing to play it and watch it grow.

It doesn't look like something I would be remotely interested in.

@Archangel3371: I'd give it an 8/10 as well, at least in its current state. I actually like having to read about the world through the grimoire cards. If there were a way to implement that system into the game itself like Dark Souls did with its lore, I think it'd be better. As it stands, the (current) story is merely a prelude of what's to come over time. I believe they'll add more as the weeks and months go on.

I'm also gonna do something else: I'm refraining from reviewing the game until I see what kind of content they're gonna bring to the game over the next 2 months. I feel that will be the most appropriate way of analyzing the game's staying power and ability to evolve off constructive criticism.

Not judging game just by reviews that are 6 or below, i just got bored so quick, nothing about it to me.

Wolfenstein New Order for me. Game left online bull*hit out and its awesome. And it did not cost 500 million LOL

This is just another online FPS, same as CoD,BF, Titanfall and such.
