Wow! They kept the top view gameplay. This puts Titan Quest to shame!!! Please feel free to update as you post.

Still, I'm glad they kept the top-view perspective. A lot of Diablo fans, including myself, was speculating whether Blizzard would make this fully 3D like Oblivion or the Witcher, or make a MMORPG.

It won't be Diablo without the top-view perspective. And it would make no sense to compete against WoW as another MMORPG. Blizzard just keeps hitting the right notes and showing love to their fans!

I'm very happy. If it had been something to do with Lich King or even the annoucement of Warcraft 4, I would've completly disowned Blizzard.

That being said - I just bought the Diablo Battlechest, and now that this is coming - I aim to do something that I keep putting off. That being finish Diablo 2.

in all honesty i dont really think this game will take to much system specs, blizzards known to be easy on those.

I'm not a Diablo fan by any means and I greeted this news with a barely passing interest, but I have to admit that the game looks impressive. The Witch Doctor in particular seems like an awesome cIass to play with. However, that's always been my problem with hack 'n slash dungeon crawlers - they always seem fun to play, but once I actually start playing I get bored quickly of the extreme gameplay repetition or should I just say clickfest.

I really wish that Diablo III offers multiple camera angles like The Witcher did (isometric, over-the-shoulder), but of course, that's not the Blizzard way. They stick to a formula and just polish, polish, polish.

From the screens and gameplay video of D3, the visuals certainly look consistent to me with the Diablo series. Only they are more improved by being more detailed. The dungeon scenes especially have the good ole "gothic" Diablo look. And what we are being shown now is only a tiny portion of what will be in final game. The past Diablo games tended to get more "gothic" as you progressed to deeper levels. So I am sure there are deeper levels we're not being shown yet with D3.

I'm pondering ebaying some of my consoles in order to fund my jump into PC gaming. I'm getting bored with console gaming, and I am missing PC gaming too much. I really want Diablo 3, Spore, Starcraft 2, C&C: RA3, Crysis, The Orange Box, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and I'm jealous of people that get to play Oblivion and Morrowind with mods. The PC gaming itch is becoming too powerful to ignore.

Seriously though, with stuff like DMC4:Badass Ultimate Edition, Dragon Age, Mirror's Edge, Demigod, Crysis:Warhead, and Witcher:Enhanced edition. You know you want to return and stay forever ^_^. Not to mention anything Steam ^_^.

Not everyone has egnough money to upgrade the PC to a acceptable level.I think if Sacred 2 is succesful EA could push it a bit...let´s hope so!After all it´s about money and looking at the wave of RTS hitting the 360/PS3 I´d say LotR:BfM 2 and C&C3 worked.No one expected that before ;)

You can build a very, very nice gaming PC that can run something like Crysis easily and everything else maxed out for what it costs to buy a PS3. It's really not as expensive as people think. Check out the Dutch_Mix thread in you know where.

But I much rather have a PS3, or now in my situation I want a 360. The other half of the equation above is that I have no PC gaming machine cause I kind of don't care to have one. If I had all the money in the world sure I would get it, but I dont so its very low on my priorities list. What I was saying above is just that if I did have a gaming PC I would buying some of these games like Diablo 3 or Spore.dvader654

You said you would be buying plenty of PC games if you had a gaming PC so I took that as an interest. If that is not the case, ok. Just wanted to point out that a gaming PC is not some kind of unreachable goal. A lot of people act as if they'd need to sell off one of their children into slavery to be able to afford a gaming PC when it is, in fact, not far off a console price tag (specifically, the PS3).

It's nice they've announced Diablo 3, now the pretenders like Hellgate London and Too Human can't keep using the whole "this is as close as you can get to having a Diablo game now" BS to hype their game, and I'm glad they're doing FOUR PLAYER CO-OP, yeah.

Blizzard is always awesome with system specs, so even if you get a cheap computer now, you will be able to run Diablo 3 fine. Chances are, you might already have a computer good enough to run it. I have friends who play World of Warcraft on mid-range machines that are 3 years older than the actual game.

Blizzard games are known to be behind the courve technologically speaking, it's one of the reasons they're so successful. You played The Sims 2 and F.E.A.R. on your PC, right? You should be able to run Diablo III just fine. Same with Starcraft II.
