Had it on Gamecube, yeah I really liked it a good game in its own right, despite it being a good game it was the beginning of the end of Resident Evil as a survival horror franchise.

Oh yes very much so, It was one of the first horror games I ever played so long ago and I was proud that I soldiered through it all and finished it. I didn't think I would because of all the scares in it but I did. I don't think I could replay it though. Personally, Resident Evil games are so annoying to me now with the having to stop in order to aim and shoot at things. So clunky.

What I love bout this game, it was a one-night stand adventure. I came, I fought, I lost several of my heads then I escaped with the target (half spoiler *lol). It was all happened in 1 night, right?

I was excited ‘bout that damn bastard with a chainsaw and all I got was a handgun & shotgun with some ammo.

I’ve done so many times, got all of the weapons’ type and broke records.

Played it on Gamecube,PS2 and PS4, so yes I suppose I enjoyed it. I missed the survival horror aspect of previous RE's, but this was a fun game in its own right.

I enjoyed it more or less. It was really cool for the most part but the levels got kinda repetitive until I got to the castle and the military looking base.

I consider it a masterpiece , so yes.

Early on it can be difficult to adjust now, from the games we have in 2016, however post-village the controls grow on you and don't feel as flawed as haters say.

The only bad mechanic I find in Bio4 is the crappy/tack-on cover system, during bomber scenarios.

Pacing is fantastic and overall a high point in the franchise.

*Remake is my favorite though_

RE is the only reason I bought a gamecube back in the day, capcom was supposed to put RE exclusively on Nintendo's new machine and no way was I missing new RE games! Of course we see how that went, but I still loved RE4 on the gamecube.

IMO...it was the best RE game as far as having a nice mix of horror and action.

The game's a masterpiece. I've played through it six or seven times on the Gamecube and plan on doing it many more.

Just recently played through the game yet again with the Xbox One version and yes I loved it. However it was pretty awkward adjusting to the controls again.

RE4 is the most successful game I know of that made drastic changes to an established IP.

Its a ton of fun to play with lots of replay value. Even for those who liked the original RE games.

Played it on the GC, and gave up during the second disc. It wasn't very fun for me to play thanks to the aiming system being sluggish with the analogue stick. I got it for the Wii and it was so much more fun. Beat it five times.

Hell yes. It's one of my favorite games ever. I played and beaten it on PS2, PS3 and PC, several times each. After playing it on PC I could not play it again on the PS3. I got used to the 60fps and everything felt sluggish on PS3. I think it's a matter of time before I buy it on PS4 :P

It was a pathetic PC port with only controller prompts which tainted an otherwise OK experience.

Just like Lost Plant Extreme Condition.

One of the greatest games ever but I'm not sure how the controls will hold up today.

Most definitely, it's in my top 10 favorite games of all time. I've only played through it twice (own the Wii version) and thinking about it makes me want to play again. Everything the game does is amazing...the game play, settings, characters, graphics, music, and inventory system are all top notch. I also couldn't have asked for a better merchant..."goin' huntin' an elephant?"

Yep, 2nd best game on the GameCube behind Metroid Prime.

Both games are undeniable masterpieces. 2 of the greatest games all time.

Loved it back when I played it on gamecube, it was one of the few games that I played through several times, in fact as soon as I beat it I immediately restarted the game to play it again, which for me is incredibly rare.

People often bring up the controls as the one pitfall but I think they are missing the point. The stock and aim mechanic forces you to make a tactical choice between mobility and offence making for tense tactical decisions on a regular basis that bring up the tension. The lack of strafing also makes your mobility options slightly more limited so navigating around enemies is a little more tense. Too many games are converging on uniformly accepted third person control schemes that are really pushing too many games to simply play the same. Back in this gen, there would be a marked difference between how a horror, shooter, stealth and adventure would play out. It's something that has been lost a bit.

I did enjoy it, but it was not all that memorable.
