Did you pick anything up during Black Friday?

Seeing as I’ve gone back to buying games physically, I did pick up some “better” deals on Amazon. Roughly a $10 discount on most things.

Finally bought BotW for around $59.

A Hat in Time for $61. (Which I’m really glad to own this physically finally as well because I’ve been stuck with it on Steam.)

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch wasn’t on sale so I picked that up for $69. I personally didn’t like the game all that much when I played it on the PS3. But, having it on the Switch is probably a good way for me to give it another go.

Movies, movies, The Long Halloween, Thundercats. Online.

I don't remember the last game I got at a sale.

I really didn't buy anything on Black Friday or Cyber Monday for that matter. I have everything I wanted this year and I already upgraded my gaming PC early this year anyways. I tend to do my Christmas shopping at the beginning of October every year and I don't bother waiting for Black Friday unless it's personally for me that is.

I was hoping for something but didn't end up getting anything, non of the parts I wanted went of sale.

All I picked up was fifa 20 from cd keys £32.99. Not a bad deal.

I did not buy anything. But I want to buy iPhine 11 now.

Not a game (because I bought enough this year) but bought hardcover Pillow Thoughts Trilogy during the Black Friday deals. Already have them separately with the Kindle app, and have been hesitant to buy because prefer to buy these physical editions in my preferred language and a quality edition.

Was a rare find and deal so happy for when it finally arrives.

I actually never get games new -- the cost even on Black Friday will still be $40+ typically. I can usually find games 6 months-2 years after release for $30 or less (obviously there are exceptions). Not only is the game cheaper, but by this time, patches that improve the game and free content has already been added much of the time which will give you a better overall experience for less money. I so understand that not everyone would care to wait, but I'm never in a hurry to try new games since I'm so backlogged with all the great quality games I have gotten for free on PS Plus or for very cheap. To get back to the question, this leaves me with little incentive to go after Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales for software -- hardware is another story I guess.

I downloaded a few games for the Xbox One. They were:

Those are Canadian prices by the way.

That's some fantastic games you have Archangel.

The CastleVania collection is certainly a highlight for me this year. Shame Iceborne continues to keep me away from most other games with that huge update- my favorite monsters sub-species, new region, and the beautiful sample siege hunt.

We Gamers really have a bounty of riches to pick from.

@Archangel3371: All digital? I'm surprise you went digital over physical copies. I assume the deals were only on XBL?

@RSM-HQ: Yeah I’ve been having a lot of fun revisiting those classic Castlevania and Contra games.

My backlog keeps growing all the time with all these great games coming out. All the time that I’ve spent playing Monster Hunter World: Iceborne has certainly not helped it either. It has definitely been time well spent though. Will probably hop back into it this weekend to check out the update and new content.

@Archangel3371: The MH team stealth dropped a sample hunt that has mechanics from the Kuroth Taroth and the Behemoth hunt. It is simply gorgeous!

And yes Konami retro is amazing. I still hope other platforms get the Requiem collection because Rondo of Blood is one of the best games in the franchise, and all fans deserve to play it.

@davillain-: Well I think that with the exception of The Evil Within 2 all those games were digital only. I haven’t seen a physical copy of TEW2 locally for awhile so I just opted to get the digital version.

@RSM-HQ: I have Rondo of Blood that I got from the Virtual Console for the Wii and do play it from time to time. Certainly wouldn’t mind seeing it come to current consoles in some form though.

I picked up 5 Blu-Rays from Best Buy for $35. Giving them to my mom for X-mas.

I'm usually not impressed with Black Friday sales when it comes to video games because I can usually find stuff for just as cheap, if not cheaper, on eBay. But I did pick up Super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2 for $30 each. Figured I shouldn't pass up on that because Nintendo games usually don't go down very much in value, or do so very slowly.

@vfighter: Australia. Most newly released Switch games here are priced at $79. On Amazon you can pick up most things for $69 or sometimes cheaper.

I know Konami is considered to be the devil these days, but man is that a fun compilation to play.

I had never played Operation C before and little of Hard Corps and I gotta say they are a lot of fun.
