Is it just me or did Dishonored have this nostalgic feeling going all the way back to Thief games ?
Also judging from what The new Thief reboot looks like it also makes me think of dishonored and vice versa.

After watching videos of the new thief, I can't help but be reminded of Dishonored. It's not a bad thing.
I didn't play the original thief game, but I heard a lot of people saying how Dishonored borrowed a lot from it.
I'm getting Thief next month no doubt.
Dishonored was one of my favourite games last year, an I'm really glad to play it and all its DLCs. I've heard many people saying Thief is a similar game, which makes me really want to play the newest one when it comes out... but I didn't actually know there were earlier Thief games.
Are there games really good and worth my time and money?

The first two games are probably still the best stealth games ever made, especially Thief 2: The Metal Age,they are most certainly worth playing seeing they´re among the all time greatest games.
I loved Dishonored realm and ideas. A nation on the brink of industrial revolution with corruption and most of the population is poor and sick. It reminds me a lot of a time in America history, but I forgot the term for it.
I haven't got around to playing any of the Thief games, one day I will play it for sure.
Arkane Studios flat out said Dishonored was a throwback to Thief.
As for it being a good thing, the 2 problems personally I had with the game were 1) the fact it gives you a bunch of great toys to kill with, but punishes you for using them, and 2) I could see the plot twist even before taking the game out of the box. The game was just fine though, if a little too linear.
Dishonored reminded me of Thief in a bad way - the city was designed like smaller, more linear Thief maps, but none of the gameplay was as good as Thief's, so the game spent its time reminding me that I could be replaying a much better game.
Meanwhile, the new Thief sounds terrible, even after they changed things in response to thr negative feedback: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-01-24-how-thief-has-changed-for-better-and-for-worse
There's also the created missions for Thief http://www.keepofmetalandgold.com/fmarchive.htm and http://thiefmissions.com/search.cgi?search=&sort=release#m

Not too bothered about the new one not being a good Thief/stealth game.
