DK 64 Question

My friends and I are planning on having a DK 64 marathon this weekend, but I need to plan the event to make sure we actually "beat" the game. Our definition of "beating" the game is defeating King K. Rool. Can anyone tell me an estimated amount of playtime it will take to defeat King K. Rool? My friends and I have played through this game before, but not for many years and we have mostly forgotten the in game secrets and puzzles. Our skill level is very good, so judge our skill levelon a 7/10. Thanks for your help :)

The game only has a few worlds to it, so it doesn't take too long if you do the minimum. At the same time, you have to think about how many blue prints you are gonna get to extend the time limit near the end and all that. I'd say for a minimal run, it would take maybe 6-8 hours. I haven't played in a few years, but from some of the videos I watched recently of people going for every collectable in the game, you can cut a ton of time just doing the absolute minimum.
