Paradise wasn't even as good as some of the more linear entries in the series, Burnout 3: Takedown in particular. Open world just doesn't fit the series. Silent-HalI disagree, i thought the open world was fantastic, especially with the DLC.
[QUOTE="SephirothsAngel"]No Burnout games other than paradise have free roam im afraid, you'll just have to get a PS3.ssc604
or a 360
Or starting this coming week, a PC! And count me among those who weren't thrilled with the Paradise open-world model. I think Burnout Revenge is still my favorite in the series. And count me among those who weren't thrilled with the Paradise open-world model. Paradise is a very frustrating game to play at times. Not an entirely bad game though. If you get a PS3 any time soon OP, you should download Burnout Paradise off the PSN, it's only $19 now, and free of the kind of hamfisted DRM I would have expected from fully downloadable current gen games. (I've heard EA is about to release the full PS3 version of Fight Night Round 3 on PSN as well)

I also believe that the free-roaming aspect of Paradise was done very well. The only problem was the lack of a restart function if you failed an event. Otherwise it's great, with the billboards and jumps, there's tons to do. Plus the online co-op challenges are excellent.

It's Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition.

That is all going to be fixed of feb 6.Paradise wasn't even as good as some of the more linear entries in the series, Burnout 3: Takedown in particular. Open world just doesn't fit the series. Silent-Hal
It does if it's the only Burnout game you've ever played. I thought it was one of the best games of last year.

You can't comment on a series if you have only played one game from it - you have no idea what the other games were like. You can comment on the one game you have played and what you liked/disliked, but comments on a series you haven't played are without substance. I enjoyed the transition from closed circuit to open world which most racing games are doing now (apart from NFS which seems intent on killing itself). With Burnout 3 and Revenge there was an element were it was too easy to do some of the races, where the barriers would almost guide you in the right direction for the entire race. Paradise is instantly more challenging as you have to learn the routes, but I think ultimately more rewarding once you master it.Please Log In to post.
