do games from USA work in Australia

i know it sounds like kinda of a stupid question but id really like to know coz in a few months im going to USA and hoping to buy alotta games especially for pc,360 and psp thanks for ur help because my uncle from USA said the dvds from USA dont work in Australia so i just wanna make sure for games thanks again

PC games should give you no trouble, I think. PSP games will work fine, but not movies.

360 games are a cointoss- some are region locked while others aren't. I'd say google around to find out if a particular game you want is region locked or not, but most don't seem to be.

And here are the codes for movies:
REGION 1 -- USA, Canada
REGION 2 -- Japan, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, Greenland
REGION 3 -- S.Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Parts of South East Asia
REGION 4 -- Australia, New Zealand, Latin America (including Mexico)
REGION 5 -- Eastern Europe, Russia, India, Africa
REGION 6 -- China
REGION 7 -- Reserved for Unspecified Special Use
REGION 8 -- Resevered for Cruise Ships, Airlines, etc...
REGION 0 or REGION ALL -- Discs are uncoded and can be played Worldwide, however, PAL discs must be played in a PAL-compatible unit and NTSC discs must be played in an NTSC-compatible unit.

Yikes I never even thought about the possibility that game DVDs might be region locked on the PC. I sure hope not.

PC Games don't have Region encoding - so that's all good - I've bought a number of games from America and they all work fine down here.

I don't own any consoles, but I'm pretty sure console games ARE encoded - meaning, US games won't work in Australia.
