A mint neo geo AES would set you back abit but metal slug for it can cost upto £1,000 and other Neo Geo games can vary in the hundreds mark.
Panzer Dragoon saga is also sought after and expensive, Castlevania Symphony of the night collectors edition on PS1 use to be quite expensive but im not sure of it's value with all the rereleases and Downloadable versions.. I remember buying 2 copies for £30 and selling them for £120 :)
Prices for older gaming consoles usually drop a few years after they are made and then become higher 20+ years after because by that time they are usually very rare.
The oldest system I own would be atari, but technically it is my mother's. I wasn't born during the atari fad generation. However I do own an old nintendo system with mario, duck hunt and a few other games. But I never play it, it just gathers dust nowadays.
