I wish I could have stats like that and enjoy a game. That is good that you can do that

haha talking about polite ways to say I suck...
but yeah man I really like games, but I'm not a hardcore gamer or anything like that... it's all about the fun and the experience as a whole... in some games you're gonna be great, other ones you're just gonna suck...
I suck at FPS, mostly because I don't play them much (halo3 is my first shooter ever)... but I'm great at RPGs & RTS (as I grew up playing that genres)..
but at the end of the day... you play for the fun... if I would want to be stressed and worried, then I would be at the office working... I play games for the fun and to relax 8)

You raise a good point. I guess I didnt consider that people may play other games and are really good at them. Like I suck a sports games because I rarely play them. I guess it goes the same for when someone who doesn't play FPS plays against people who play it a lot.
[QUOTE="Treflis"]If the continue to play then doesn't that indicate they are having fun? Why play games if you don't find them fun?BPoole96
I don't find games much fun anymore. I don't even know why I play them to be honest
O__O now that's something I haven't seen around here

Yeah, it's pretty sad. It might be because I've invested so much into gaming that I just expect myself to play them. No matter how good I am at a game I never get that feeling of fun that I did a year or so ago.

I know what you mean. I stated playing games 12 years ago. I rarley get that same fealing I did back then. Only hapens when somthing realy realy good comes along or somthing that is fairly unique.
For online games - It's fun to play even if youre terrible, if there is a chance of getting better. What's frustrating is trying to get into an online game thats been around for years, make it near impossible to try and catch up with the people who have been playing since release.
For offline... there's almost always a difficulty setting :D

LadyFreyja
yeah that can be frustrating... I guess I'll know next week when I plan to start playing Team Fortress 2 for the first time...
I'll be the only n00b I guess
Well I guess it relies on if they can get past the first level or stage, etc. Otherwise I'm sure it would get tedious. Or if it was a sandbox game, where you can do whatever, or casual gaming.
Correct, that's why I don't play more racing games. And, to answer TC's question, yes, we do.I don't play competitive multiplayer...all I could say is that I'm not having fun if I'm having a hard time like can't beat a boss, stuck on a certain place/area, etc.. (and in all things that I do). I hate having a hard time.
IMO, the easier = the more fun

I pretty much suck at online shooters. I just don't play them that much, but when I do I typically have fun. Now, if we start talking about Diablo 2, I have a great time with that. Not everyone plays games to be competitive. If I really want to compete I'll get off my bum and go outside to play some football.Canvas_Of_Flesh
yeah, there's a lot of competition @ the workplace and real life in general to start worrying about it on XBL when you want to relax & have some fun...
besides... keep playing, even if you suck right now, only will make you better...
I consider myself above average at some games, but I absolutely stink at FPS... Sometimes, yes, I get VERY frustrated when playing online against really good people, but you know what I love? When I have a really good game and I slaughter people who are better than me, obviously, yes, it would be great if i could do this every round, but there's something special about have a 0.4-0.5 k/d ratio and then seeing your name above all those with 5 and above.... It's especially enjoyable when you get to pwn people who are boisterous over chat...
boisterous Nirdehnasbois⋅ter⋅ous /ˈbɔɪstərəs, -strəs/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [boi-ster-uhs, -struhs] Show IPA Pronunciation –adjective 1. rough and noisy; noisily jolly or rowdy; clamorous; unrestrained: the sound of boisterous laughter. 2. (of waves, weather, wind, etc.) rough and stormy. 3. Obsolete. rough and massive. I have learned something today. :o
yeah I don't think the guy who's all stressed up and focused, hiding in a corner with the sniper rifle silently taking everybody down, while worrying about his killing spree and how many headshots he's got, is having more fun than I, the guy who's running all over the place shooting at people, chatting with the teammates having some laughs...
I mean, obviously you try to make an effort to win, to back your buddies up, and to cooperate with the team, but c'mon what's really gonna happen if you win or loss?
Well it kinda depends. If said person is playing a video game and they don't know that they are doing absolutely horrible (I'm talking mostly about single player game) could probably still find enjoyment in a game their bad at.
As for someone who knows their bad at game (me for example being a below average-average tf2 player), I still find it enjoyable to try to get points after many failed attempts. Maybe that's just my motivational drive, but for me, the game is still fun even though I know I'm playing against people miles better than me.
