I popped in Metal Gear Soilid 3 the other day because it's been so long I don't remember it so playing it again is like playing it for the forst time. That's the benefit of not overplaying games. It seems as the series progressed it became more and more scenes and less game.

Take MGS 3 & 4. First you're listening to all of this story, way more than needed and as you play you keep getting interupted with even more excessive babble. Support is useless because 90% of the time the character you are radioing goes on and on about some trivial crap that doesn't do anything for the game.

I spent maybe 1-3 minutes navigatingbetween hitting a 5-10 minutescene. So it had me wondering... is Metal Gear solid a movie, a book on tape or a game?

YES, YES WE NEED MOARRR Seriously, Kojima wants to stop but a lot of 'fans' have sent him dead threats, and you know the drill...

Why bother making games? Just make movies because they are already 95% movie.

The dialogue in 3 is so lame. "I see you hold your gun the wrong way, your technique is flawed. You don't do it like John woo."

Well I don't know if we "need" more Metal Gear Solid but I know that I definitely want more MGS, I love the games. Having said that though I certainly wouldn't be opposed to Kojima working on something else either.

But wouldn't you rather play more game, not watch more scenes?

We don't need any Metal Gear games that take place after MGS4, because that was a good way to end Snake's story. We do however need 3D remakes of Metal Gear and Metal Gear II: Solid Snake, because many people have missed out on these two awesome titles since they can be tricky to get a hold of. They do make up a large part of the story and are therefore important. I want to infiltrate outer Heaven and Zanzibar Island in 3D.

Maybe, maybe not. I've really enjoyed them thus far.

Plenty of people say this, but they exaggerate on the whole movie thing, no MGS game have every been 95% movie, the closest was MGS4 which was probably 50/50 at best.

Personally, the Metal Gear series has never failed to captivate me and grasp my interest. Although at times the Metal Gear universe can be batsh*t crazy and gives me a headache even attempting to comprehend what the hell is happening, I think that the storylines and characters that have been produced from this iconic gaming series are both unique and full of personality.

In my opinion, and undoubtedly the opinion of many fans, the Metal Gear series breathes life yet. However, we are all aware of the fine line that separates healthy continuation of a series and continuation for the sake of milking every penny possible from a series.

its just a different type of game, there are games which all all pretty much just text and still images, and they are still popular with some people.

I personally really enjoy the Metal Gear series, and yes , in MGS4 and MGS2 the story got a little out of hand, but overall, I wouldnt have it any other way.

that said, I do think Kojima should take a break from Metal Gear and work on a few of the other franchises hes made over the years , like Policenauts and Snatcher.

I'm pretty sure that's what everyone reads into the embellishment.
