i would rather not eat a month if i had to buy MGS4(for example) then buy bad game just because it is cheap but whats your choice what are games that are bad but you still get them because of their price and to be "collector"

in my country they often say "how much money you have, longer the music plays":)

With certain games sure,

Something like Haze for example, I would have never paid 69.99 for. When it hit 39.99 it became a little more appealing,

Overlord for 360, 69.99? No. 19.99? Yes.

Cost can dictate purchases, but generally speaking there should be SOME interest in the title,

There are very few games in which I find no redeeming qualities. I've liked pretty much every game I've bought. I also read a lot of reviews, so I know what I'm getting into. I go to EB a lot to check on the cheap used Xbox games. I'm willing to buy games that others didn't like, because I only usually pay $5 or so for a title. It's not that I'm not being smart with my money, it's just that when you're as cheap as I am, your standards may be a bit lower.

Advent Rising for $50? No. Advent Rising for $7? Yes.

Grand Theft Auto IV for $60? No. Grand Theft Auto IV for $10? Yes.

And, yes, I do wait that long. I've spent around $850 on Xbox games, but I have almost 100. And I enjoy all of them, though some not as much as others.

No.

If a game is cheap, all the more reason to buy it, but I wont buy a game I'm completly uniterested just because it's cheap.

If they look interesting, yes.
But I rarely use my entire salary on games.

Maybe. If it's like 50 cents or $1 then sure, why not.

But if it's anymore then $5, then no.

I've been guilty of that in the past... now I'm more much stingy with my gaming purchases.

Although I don't buy bad games that are cheap, I just buy games that I don't really have an interest in.

I don't buy games that are cheap. I look at games that are a couple years old that I wanted then and if its a good price I'll buy it. I have bought some realy cheap games like madden 04 for $.94 and nba 04 for 3$. I wait for games to become cheap unless its a game I realy want like. But most the time I buy used

If I was interested or it was on my must buy, yes.

Other than that, I do my research on game value. I figure if the store sold one copy for so cheap, the next time I see it will be even cheaper. Its dirty, so I usually let the buyer put in how much they want.

I'm no businessman, but making profit while giving people games they want is good money.

I regularly check the bargain bin to see if any good games have had the price reduced.

I have done this lately because there is a store near my job that has a pretty large been of new PS2 games for $9.99 each so in the last few months I have easily bought about 20 games from there, some were games I wanted to pick up (sly cooper & Timesplitters: Future Perfect) and some were ones I took a chance on (Beat Down and Death By Degrees). So yeah if there is a game I am interested in and it's cheap I would probably get it. But they also have to be either new or in really good condition.

i wouldn't pay for a bad game, but a low price can make a mediocre or short game seem better.

Arc theLad is a good example. Not a great game by any stretch, but decent. And when I saw it at EB Games for $8.99, I couldn't resist. But I never would have bought it for $40 or $50.

I buy the games I want simply because they have the qualities that make up a great gaming experience. Price is never a factor hence why I seldomly buy games anymore due to the fact that my strict tastes are harder to please as old age sets in. But to answer you - I do not buy games because they are cheap.

No. If the game sucks, I wouldn't buy it even if it's $10.

No I check the quality and reception of the game before I buy it. The price doesn't matter as long as it's cheap.

ive bought a few games because they were cheap, like Madden 2002 at gamestop, It was 99 cents used AND it had a 50% off sticker on it. I also had my edge card so it was 43 cents lol. Im currently building a PS2 game collection and if i can get a game cheap (0.99~7.99) regardless ill normally buy it unless its missing the book / case

I look at the value compared to the price. If I can get some of the best games of all time for the price of one game this gen, I'm going to get the older games.

It depends on the game and price. I picked up a PS2 motorcycle game for $2 new. I doubt I will open it, but if I do cool. If not, I have a old game sealed year later. I recently bought The Darkness for $10 new. I have been looking forward to playing it. Renting a game is $5 at the local shoops or I could GameFly it, but would have to return a game I have out now that isn't finished. I am not about to buy any game for cheap, but if I have interest in it yeah, or if it is slightly interesting and sub-$5. Why not? I am a collector, but gamer first. So I like being surrounded my games. :D

I do buy some games because they're cheap if the game interests me at all(but wasn't willing to risk $20-$60). That was how I discovered Beyond Good and Evil.

Heck I don't buy a game I really want for more than that...

That's not cheap...
