I had these 2 games like a decadeago and then my dad traded them in and I never saw them again. Cut to now and I have like never seen it.

Though recently I go to my local Gamestop. I go and browse among the selection and all of a sudden among the PS2 games I see FF 7 and 8.

Take it to the store clerk and he says they didn't even know they had those. Because of this he lets me have it for only $10 each.

So the point is, is it hard for you to find these 2 games?

FF7 is pretty expensive, FFVIII is very easy to get, it's like 10-20 new on Amazon, from the site itself, too.

I'd assume you can get either one on Amazon without much difficulty. If you're talking about going into your local game store and expecting multiple copies... probably not so much. Good luck finding it. I never got to beat FFVII because my damn save file corrupted right when I was at the end of the game, I was too crushed to ever go back and play again ;(

I have FFs IV through XII and VII through X-2 and XII the only one that cost more than VII and VIII was was more expensive than FFs VII and VIII was the new FXII.

Final Fantasy VII and VIII such good games and so popular that the copies in good condition are getting harder to find and costing a bit more all the time.

I got my copies at KMart back in 2000. Both are greatest hits edition, but that doesn't matter to me. I got FFIX and Chronicles when they first came out, so they aren't greatest hits. Final Fantasy Tactics saw a re-release around this time and I got the greatest hits version of it. I happened upon a new copy of Anthology one day thenat EB, and was pretty happy about that. Then in like....2002 they made Origins and I got that. The only qualm I have with the PSX FF games is that they put Chrono Trigger in with FFIV, when really I feel that FFIII should have been released with it for the full set, 1-9, you know?

It's a good game. Like any good game (Halo), it has a lot of haters...for some insane reason I will never understand.

I had Final Fantasy VII for a along time, then i decided to trade it into a local game store, i didnt care much. i had beaten that game over 10 times since i traded it and haven't cared since. They were selling them used for $99, and final fantasy VIII for just only $20.

I will never understand it either. It had some great moments, but I was disappointed with most of the game. That could be because FFVIII was the first game in the series that I played. Going back to FFVII's blocky character models and no analog control made it hard for me to get into the game.

ON TOPIC - I had both since 1998, gave my copy of FFVII to a friend. I haven't seen either game in a store for a long time, but there are plenty of copies of both games on Amazon and ebay.

But why is it a game that sold more than 8 and 9 is suddenly so hard to obtain? I feel bad for gamers because many that would like to play the game can't because it's overpriced on the market.
