For sports, racing and generally any game that doesn't have a set storyline, I'll watch the video reviews. For highly-anticipated, story-driven games like Super Paper Mario, Metroid Prime and Halo 3, I skip the video reviews entirely for fear of seeing potential spoilers. I want to keep the experience as fresh as possible and figure out things on my own. How about you guys?
i prefer watchin the video reviews, i wish theyd do more, its jsut easier to listen to someone talk about the game instead of tryin to read it, and its easier to judge the persons true feelings when gettin to watch them in action, somethin you cant do from readin
Yes, I do. I watch video reviews and read the full reviews. The full reviews cover everything anyway but I just like watching the video reviews for the feature. :)
One of the first things I do. Written reviews are great, but nothing like seeing a review with video of the game to find out if you will like it or not...
I always watch them if they're available, in addition to reading the reviews. Seeing it in action is almost always more helpful for me when making a decision. I've avoided a number of games now that sounded like something I'd really enjoy based on the written description, but find that the play mechanics weren't what I was expecting or something when watching the video. It's also led me to purchase a number of games I wouldn't have tried out otherwise.
I always watch them, I like to know what the strong points and weak points of the game are and other peoples opinions. They never spoil anything though, they concentrate on gameplay mostly and new features.
I, like watching them so that that way I know what to expect from a game before I play it. I'll get a good idea of whether it's the right game for me or not.
