My first topic on this forum.

You bought new game and completed it.
Do you sell it or keep it?

Back in the day, I stored all of my games on the bookself and year after completing the game, I noticed that the game is still in the bookself taking dust, and I haven't touch it ever since.
So, I started to think that nowdays games most likely have value for one playthrough and after that, it just takes dust in some corner of the room.

In my opinion, if the game have no value for replay, better to sell it forward and use the money for new games, etc. .

How about you?

If I don't like the game, I sell it.

If I do like it, I keep it.

I used to always trade my games in to get newer games but for the past couple of years now I've been in collector mode and keeping all the games I buy. It's great to see my collection of games grow.

Usually keep...I don't finish all the games I buy though. If I don't like em too much or just can't get into them, then I try to sell them again.

If I see myself replaying it I keep it. If I don't than generally I sell the game. If I absolutely loved it though than I might keep it on the off chance I randomly get the urge to play it again someday even if at the time I can't see myself doing so

i dont ever sell my games any more. used to when i was still in school and had to sell/trade in a game to get a new one as i had limited cash, but these days money isnt such a problem so my games collection just grows. even if i didnt have much cash to spare id still keep my old games it makes me sad to think of the games i would love to replay now but no longer own.

Keep. I buy most games at a discount anyway, and at that point their resale value is essentially zero. They're worth much more to me on the off chance I'd replay them than they would be thrown up on Ebay or (worse yet) a Gamestop counter.

I keep every game I buy. Does not matter whether I like them or not, or replay them or not. I like to keep a collection for memory's sake.

My super fave games, and/or rare games, stay in my collection but otherwise they get traded. Nowadays, with trophies & stuff, i hang on to games for a while, replays for trophies.

If you intend on selling games after beating them, why buy them at all? Why not use a rental service such as Blockbuster, Gamefly, etc?

I don't have a whole lot of money so I only buy games I'm really interested in. So I try to keep them, but every now and then I get the urge to sell one or two simply due to it not meeting my expection or getting old fast. Aside from that, there's always a chance I'll get the urge to play it again. I used to trade games all the time even when I didn't need to and now quite of those games I'll be tracking down again. So I try to keep my games.

I keep almost every single game I own. In retrospect, the ones I traded in for like. 1.25$ were not worth that. It's like an old book, you just keep it on the shelf to look pretentious and well versed.

i very rarely sell a game, and usually its only because the game is crap and I bought it cheap. I keep almost all my games to add to my collection. if i beat a game, i'm more likely to play it again actually. Example: GTA: SA. I've played that game for dozens of hours since beating it, its just a fun game in general.

Lifelong collector. I regularly replay games, and the ones I don't replay anymore are so old they have no resale value.

When I was younger I would sell them to put credit towards another gameI wanted. Then I realized, "wait a sec, I just paid 60 bucks for that game and i'm getting not even half that from Gamestop." So, I decided to either sell my games on craigslist or ebay at a price I thought was reasonable. Now, I have a new strategy. Back when the 360 first came out, my friend had gotten over 500 dollars for his birthday from family and friends. With that money he was going to get a 360 along with a couple of games. When we went to the store, he sold his original XBOX along with the 20+ games he had and got OVER $400 for everything. So, he basically got his 360 for free because of all the store credit and then he was able to buy a buncha games. Still had hundreds of dollars left over afterwards.

So, i'm just keeping all my games and consoles and when the PS4 comes out, that's what i'm planning on doing!

Ideally, I only sell the games I don't like and I keep the rest. However, too many times I have sold games and systems on a need basis only to buy them again later, or wish I was able to do so.

I only sell games that I've played so much that I knew what was going to happen every turn, I knew what the characters said and it was just no fun. I keep them if they have a fun online multiplayer or it's something I dont mind playing over and over, like the Final Fantasy games for Playstation I could play those over and over again. Because I am a member at gamestop I geta little bit extra store credit for every game I trade in so if I ever get bored of something I sell it for a couple bucks to get something new.

I finished maybe a third of half of my games, some of the games I don't even like but I bought it because it was rare or something.

The only time I traded in games was when I was short on money and I needed that current game. I eventually rebought the game when it became cheaper again though.

But now that money is not a problem, my collection has grown and I have no intentions to sell it!

keep them, I go back and play a lot of them, besides the trade in credits are crap for what people pay for them, I'd rather just invest in GameFly if I didn't care to keep my games

The only way I sell games is if I'm selling the system, too. I sold my Wii and my games because it was almost totally unused.

I keep them. I like collecting lol. And not liking a game I bought never happens to me because I always think before I buy a game. But this gen I did sell some games though, 3 that is. But there were some awesome deals I couldn't resist lol. But I'm planning to buy one of those games back though, which is Uncharted 2.

If it's a really good game, I'll keep it after I complete it. I also like to go back and get achievements and complete other things in the game.
