If so, what's your favorite? I'm listening to the Banjo-Kazooie and Brawl Soundtrack currently.

It happens. The music of Super Metroid, Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and Mario Galaxy suits my taste.

Edit: There are also really nice songs in Starfox Adventures..

If a game has nice and epic music then yes. I'm a music lover and am always listening to epic orchestral versions of great video game music like Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross (even though i haven't played these games only heard the names), Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Galaxy, etc.

I've got most of the Zelda albums, with Wind Waker and OOT being some of my favorites. Also, a mix of Mario, Metroid, Final Fantasy (mostly VII) Chrono Trigger, and quite a few more.

Only if the game has a licensed soundtrack like sports or driving games. I do it in game though, I don't actually go out and buy a soundtrack. Other than that I try to appreciate the soundtrack of some of the more epic, fantasy games like Oblivion, Halo, or Mass Effect.

I agree that Advent rising had an amazing soundtrack but I still think my favorite is Harry Gregson-Williams's score for MGS2.

Advent Rising (well, I kinda liked the game too) did have a great HALF of a score. The back half almost seemed like a different production. But the action cues are among the best I've listened to, especially in-game.

Kameo has an AMAZING score if you like orchestrated music. Seriously, I've gone on and on about it before, so I won't start up again, but definitely check it.

I'm curious about Lair and Heavenly Sword, as I've been impressed by what I've heard. And Halo 3, which I also have listened to recently, was VERY impressive. In fact it impressed more than in game, because it has an often somber tone to it. So a listen away from the game lets you in on a lot of nuances in its composition.

Game music is great for gamers and sometimes for non-gamers too.

I tend to listen to video game music more than non-video game music. No idea why but I just really love a lot of the stuff I hear in games.

Video games music is what I actually prefer more, and the ones I like are the Zelda and Final Fantasy one.

I have a few burned CDs of music, including most of the Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2, and Zombies Ate My Neighbors soundtracks.

Check out Shadow of the colossus soundtrack , it is amazing, this one is the best, LINK.

Chrono Cross's opening song is forever memorable, just like the game itself.

TimeSplitters songs are the best, alot of memories with this amazing shooter, I can't wait for part 4, search for "streets", "the mansion" and "planet X".

Ohh...and don't forget to checkout the heavy metal for the Guilty Gear series, another song, Awe of she.
