I'm kinda uptight about loaning games because I don't trust people to take care of them properly - I can just imagine it coming back all scratched up with a million finger prints on it. What about you?

I'm the same way, even though my friends are trustworthy i still don't let anyone barrow any of my games. Ive just always been very picky and meticulous about my stuff and its condition. The few times i have loaned stuff to people they either never gave it back or they messed it up in some way, and that's why i don't let people borrow things. I also don't expect to borrow things in return.
NO. The few I did lend out as a child either returned WAY after they were supposed to or were returned damaged beyond belief. I haven't lent a game to anyone since.
i used to let a few friends borrow my games but not anymore. the games would come back dirty and/or scratched. sometimes i'd go over to their house and actually see the disc lying on the floor!
I loan my games to one friend of mine (we are both i n our 30s and trustowrthy so I don't sweat it). I leant out Assassin's Creed, Ninja Gaiden 2, and something else I can't remember now. He leant me PGR, Dead or Alive, and Condemned 1 and 2.
I only lend my games to those friends that let me borrow there's, then they will do there best to keep my disk in good condition because they know I'll take my revenge on there's
You know, I never really thought about it until leaving school at the end of last year and realizing that my copy of Halo 3 was gone. I must have loaned it out (for the life of me, I can't remember to whom), and now it's gone forever.
I Let a friend borrow COD 4 he got drunk stepped on the disc and broke it then gave me $20 to replace it. Needless to say we don't talk any more
Of course I borrow games. I mean it's a videogame, not a rare painting you can't replace. I borrow games to and from friends, whenever I have one I don't play anymore or I want to try one they have.
You people need better friends lol.
Not taking care of your friend's posessions is often a lack of respect aswell. At least thats what I can tell from my past experience with certain old 'friends'.
I always lend my stuff to friends nowdays, they take good care of it and I take good care of their things.
I never loan out games. I have in the past and loaned out Final Fantasy 12 to a coworker/friend. Long story short he stormed out of the store we worked at that week mad at the Manager and quitting and threatening violence... yeah I never got my game back. I kind of did a similar thing though, I borrowed a friends Assassin's Creed on 360. He ended up going to the Army in another state before I could return it and I have moved twice since than, so I kept it. I dont loan games now, I have been on both sides and it sucks =o Also my sister used to scratch any dvd I used to loan her back in the day. I dont care how close you are to someone getting a scratched disc back from someone is infuriating.
I did once. It came back with more scratches than I could count in my entire lifetime.Marka1700
yeah. same here. that first trust, and moment of sharing, and then you get it back and its filthy or scratched. i remember lending perfect dark on the GBC to a 'friend', and when it came back the sticker was worn, with nails indents all in it. it's like throwing it to animals. it's ridiculous.
i also remember lending donkey kong land to a friend with a 100% complete save file on it. when i got it back, the cart was 'wet' on the bottom, and the file had been erased! that's when i stopped lending games.
that was in school though. i'm a little more trusting now.
Only to my brother, but no one else after a incident I had with loaning a game to the friend of a roomate of mine. Never got it back. Also, I don't lend to my cousins either. I trust them for sure, but they don't take care of my stuff. One time my discs were brand new but looked like they were put in a food processor by the time my cousin went through with it. Oh, and my cousin broke my Gameboy once.ASK_Story
lending to a roommate is bad. lending to a friend of a roomate? disaster.
I occasionally loan my games to other people. I don't do it as often since one of my friends destroyed my copy of a PS2 game called 187 Ride or Die. I haven't been able to find a copy since. There were so many scratches on it that I just tossed it in the bin. Another friend also lost the second disc for Driver 2 on PS1.
If my friends offer to loan me a game, then sure. I look after all the games that I get.
I did until one of my friends' brother traded it into Gamestop for credit. He gave me his copy of DBZ: Burst Limit, but I stopped after that.
I have only loaned games out a couple of times in my life, under protest, and under strict guidelines. I would still list my answer as no, I don't trust anyone to take care of my games, or anything else for that matter.
Yeah, I only loan games to trusted friends only. One time I loaned a ds game to a friend and he lost it :( ,but he was really sorry and gave me a final fantasy 3 strategy guide. Since the game and the guide was about the same price, but I'm over it now and I only loan him PS2 games now.
Jesus Christ! do any of you have decent friends??? i've never got a scratched disk back from a friend, because all my friends I loan games to are big gamers. dont ever give your games to people who aren't big gamers because they dont know how to look after them properly, and don't hold enough respect for them.
