Do you normally play games alone or with friends?

I don't really play games with friends too often. I normally play games when I'm alone and playing a game I enjoy seems like a good thing to do. Probably why I can get into online multiplayer games. I've been on this site far too often lately due to boredom and lack of games I am interested in... not that it's bad to be on GameSpot but playing a good game is far more enjoyable... and I don't like American TV too much.

Anyways, do you play a lot of games with your friends? Or would you rather do something else?

Well I'm old as dirt, so people I know are busy with there children and grand children. Doing whatever it is that people who don't make gaming a priority do. I rarly have guests anymore, when I do they are more interested in watching Hi Def movies or concert footage than gaming. So to answer I game alone, but of course I game online with people even people from here :o JK. Anyway I'm glad for online gaming so I can game with others even if they are not in the same room.

Ever since I got together with my current girlfriend I have hardly been able to play anything on my own. I used to play most things alone, but when I try to play something alone now, it just feels boring. There are some games I can still play though, if I'm too bored. Primarily driving games like NFS or OutRun.

Plus, there's just nothing, in ways of gaming, that beats playing cooperatively. I wish more game makers took the time to include this feature.

My friends don't play the games I play. The games I have, which are versus are just me owning them pretty much. It's the same way when you're playing against someone who's mastered a game you've never played.

So then I've stuck to solo games. Actually these also make me bored. So I get games that break out emotion whether it's fear or just a good story. Then there's online games.

But it's just games.

It seems my friends don't play games, so I usually play offline, alone. Occasionally online when I feel up to it. I would like to havegaming friend/s, but those seem to be hard to find at this point in my life.

Well most of the time i play alone. But if a friend is over or theres a special occasion or something then i play with others. But sadly most of the time its alone lol :(

I dont play multiplayer games often I prefer to go up to my room lock my door turn on my computer and play with myself. Yea you heard me! ;)

98% of the time I play alone. Its very rare I play with a friend in the same room as myself. The only time that this happens is when im playing Pro Evo, in which case theres about 6 lads all round one screen shouting at the tele as we partake in a little league :)

With the current gen consoles its easier to play with friends on other games because of the PSN and Xbox Live.

Alone. I tend to have more fun by myself since I mainly game to get engrossed. I can't exactly reach "The Zone" if I have people around me distracting me.

However, I do play Guitar Hero II and the random sports games with buddies. It's entertaining for the occasional diversion.

So the general consensus is that we play games alone. But if we do play with others, it's through the internet, playing against faceless opponents that we scream at.

That's what gaming is reduced to.

It's no longer what we do with friends, but as our own activity.

It gets surprising why a system such as the Wii sells, even as it's marketed as a device which multiplayer is important.

I usually play video games by myself. I'm more of an RPG type of person anyway.:P

I'm into fighting games too, but it gets pretty boring quickly when someone else isn't playing too.

I only prefer playing with others when it comes to sports and fighters.

I'm also a huge fan of RTSs butI haven't tried battling someone else over the net, yet...maybe I should give it a try! Until I get good at it first.

I prefer single player games, but I don't mind playing multiplayer with a friend. I don't really have that many friends to play with, that's a problem.

Alone most of the time. When I meet up with friends, we usually play games because that's probably the only way they're going to get socialize with me... :lol: ..anyways, if I do play with friends, they are very close friends (known for at least 2 years), because friends of my friends (not so so much my friends) have stolen video games from me.

I prefer to play alone most of the time too. Because there really is no competition for me unless I go online. So, playing multiplayer offline gets boring really fast.
