I used to be really bad in that respect. I'd play three, four, maybe even five or more at a time, but that usually ends up with many games that go unfinished. Now,I only play one game at a time. I feel better in t he fact that I'm more focused.

I'm either playing six or seven games at once or none at all. Sometimes I just don't feel like it, and other times I'll play everything in sight.

I've tried to cut back at how many games I play at once but I just can't do it for more than a couple of games at a time. After two or three games I just can't take it and start whoring myself out to anything that games. That, unfortunately, burns me out which is where I'm at right now.

After a two week cooldown my game engines will be back online.

I have the same problem sometimes too, i start a game, then another and another, usually in different consoles, and more than one time, i haven't finished all, for example, Paper Mario for the GC, and Rome Total War for PC, both games are great, but i've been having troubles to finish them.

Right now, i'm playing FFVI Advance and Super Metroid in the VC, let's see if i can finish both.

I usually play 3-4 games at one time, they are however different genres, so I wont mix things up/be annoyied of lack of features another game in the same genre has.

I hardly play one game at a time, I'm usually working on many games at once, then switch around.

Playing only one game at a time is generally a sign of how freaking awesome that game is.

I play 2 at a time now. Sometimes I can play 3 at a time, but only if one is a quick action game or something and one that doesn't require a lot of attention. I usually have 2 RPGs going at once, and then maybe a 3rd game like the one I just described.

I have to play several games at once. But I always choose games from very different genres. Sometimes I want to city-build and sometimes I just want to kill things. If I only played one game at a time, then I'd get burned out easily. I do make it a point to try and finish all the games I buy, unless they're total crap (the internetz lied tome about Psychonauts). Also, as someone else said, if you do manage to focus on only one game, it just shows how awesome that game really is.

I only stick to one game at a time here, or maybe two if I am getting a little tired of playing the same game. I find I learn harder games a lot better this way.

Depends on the game type. Games like Punch Out, Mario Kart, Brawl, etc are pretty much just ongoing for me and I bounce between those and whatever adventure/story line drive game (eg: Zelda) I'm playing at the time.

I play 2-3 games at a time, because my hard drive space is limited, sometimes I can only install 2 games at most.

Right now, I am playing Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4 and Empire Total War, a while ago I also had Battlestations: Pacific installed but since I beat

the game, it's not on hard drive for now.

I try to keep it to one game at a time for the reasons you list -- the more games I start up at the same time, the better chance there is that one will go unfinished, plus I like to get wrapped up completely in a single game. Sometimes I'll have more than one going, but usually it's one at a time, two at most.

Well, it depends on what exactly I'm doing. If I'm going back for some retro N64 action or something of that sort, I generally hop around pretty good. However, if I'm playing a new (to me) game I'll usually stick to it exclusively until I finish it. Of course you can disregard this for games that are more of the pointless fun area of things, I usually only stick to one game if it has a story.

I used to as well. Whenever I'd get a new game I'd play it and get midway through while ignoring the games I had already started. But now I've gone back and finished a lot of those unfinished games, so its not as bad now.

I try not to, because I tend to favor one game over another, and then I never finish it. But I can play one old or small game along with a big new release and not lose interest. Playing two new games at the same time never ends well.

Yeah, I've accumulated 23 PS2 games, since I got my silver slim PS2 a few months back and I've been playing a little bit of all of them and its a huge problem. I plan on getting a PS3 within the next 2-3 months, and I've got all of these PS2 games I need to beat: Viewtiful Joe, Viewtiful Joe 2, Okami, Roadkill, Psychonauts, God of War 2 (I actually beat it when it first came out), Black (beat it a couple years back too), Freedom Fighters, Killswitch, Red Faction 2, Contra: Shattered Soldier (this one is excruciatingly hard, I don't plan on beating it anytime soon). Those are my main games, I also have: Midnight Club Dub Edition Remix, Burnout Revenge, SSX On Tour, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, Tekken 5, Freekstyle, Downhill Domination, 2 different Pinball Hall of Fame games, Twisted Metal: Black, R-Type Final, Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, and I've been trying to beat REmake for GC too. So yeah, I play nearly all of these games every few days, whereas I need to sit down and work on 1 at a time....HELP!!!!!

There are a few games I'm "always" playing, because they're unbeatable: Multiplayer shooters and such. Aside from that, I'm usually playing two or three games at any given time.

I play a lot of different games at the same time. The only games I tend to not finish are RPGs, unless I rent them. Out of my 300+ games the majority I haven't finished is probably around 12 RPGs. Usually RPGs I find in stores for cheap prices that I buy while playing other games, I put them aside for the moment and then pick up another cheap RPG before I play the first. I have at least Xenosaga 2, Suikoden 3, Suikoden 5, Star Ocean Till the End of Time, Devil Summoner 2, Legacy of Ys 1 and 2, Luminous Arc 2, Tactics Ogre, Super Robot Teisen OG Saga, etc to finish. Luminous Arc 2 is almost done and I am working on Devil Summoner 2.

Two or three, but 2 out of the 3 is usually more casual. For example, I focus on one game that takes a lot of my time such as a RPG, while the second game is either a shooter or a fighting game. And than the last one is really casual like a puzzle game or a sport game. But the catch is, I tend to switch off and change games depending on my mood, but it's always in this format. Right now I'm playing Crimson Gem Saga, Suikoden and FFVII off of PSN as my primary game (I switch off per week), Left 4 Dead and SFIV as my second game, and Puzzle Quest with Hot Shots Golf Open Tee 2 as my casual.

Back in the PS1 days I'd play at least 6-7 RPGs at once, but I've since mend my ways and now only play one from start to finish at a time. That's not to say I won't play a little bit of another every now and again and see if it's the next one I want to go through after finishing the current one. If I'm tempted to start another, I just stop playing and do something else for a while, like read.

If I try to do more than two I usually lose focus and stop playing one of the games for several months. I call this "December Syndrome" because I tend to get a ton of new games in that month due to my birthday and Christmas. I got Far Cry 2 for my birthday and I've just now started to play it again. The year before that, I got The Orange Box and put off playing it for about 3 months.
