Pretty much. Some people are good sports and carry that over into games. I don't really mind it.

Sometimes, but only ironicly. And that was before the advent of party chat. Now there wouldn't be a reason to.

No. It's so trite and redundant. I think not trash talking after a match is enough to show that there are no hard feelings over the outcome.

Occasionally, if the match stood out from the norm in some way. But I usually don't even attach the headset. I don't go online for people who weren't even born when I started gaming to call me a noob.

If the game really was good or another player impressed me in some way I usually comment on that.

Really depends if it was actually good or not. Last time I said it was in a Bad Company 2 match where we won the match by punching their final ticket right as our last M-Com was about to explode. Extremely close game, and the whole match was like that.

If it was actually a good, close match, then yes.

Otherwise I typically don't say anything. Unless I'm at a tournament of some kind, then I'd probably say "good game" no matter what.

I probably wouldn't say "good game" exactly, but if it was an interesting match I'll usually comment on it in some way.

In BFBC2 if its an intense match and really close I will say it. Also I will congratulate my team mates if they pull off a good shot or help out in a big way

There is no honor on most competetive multiplayer games now. That behavior seemed to die with Starcraft 1 as far as I am concerned.

The only game I say good game is on Madden or MVC3. That's only if it is a good game.

No, I never say good game unless the score was absolutely close. I hate it when a team who totally dominated my team all say GG but they didn't say it when they lost the next round.

Actually, that's a good question. I never say it on my Xbox 360, but that is because I never use the headset. If you could actually type in a match like on PC, then I would say it most of the time. I only ever say it on PC games, such as Call of Duty and whatnot... actually it brings back memories. When I, or one of the other players type "gg" you usually see about 5-10 more saying it :P. I remember years and years ago during Quake III: Arena days (as far as I am concerned), I remember wondering what "gg" actually meant, and somebody told me, heh. But yeah I wish I could use it more often, but I only do it on PC games. That being said, it irritates me on games where you can't type during the match result, and anything you do type instantly vanishes, so you have to say it with about 20 seconds left :P.

People used to that back in 2000 when I used to play Delta Force on the PC. I dont do it today because most people online are Dicks!

On the off chance I play online, I don't use a headset unless it's a friend. Most of the people on XBL are clowns, and make gaming as a whole not fun by their very presence. I prefer to do competitive play in person, so the other guy can't hide behind an anonymous internet handle and run his mouth, like in the glory days of the arcade.

Most people have them, just choose not to use them. Average XBL player will violate their ears if they do.

When I played PC multiplayer games more everyone ussually said GG at the end because you could just type it real quick and you had a few secs at the end of the match with just the scores on the screen waiting to load the next match.

This...pretty much.

The times I play online I usually get to hear some 10 year who thinks he's bad@ss, someone who thinks it's karaoke night on xbl, someone who thinks they're a DJ, or someone who thinks they are fresh out of officer school and tries to bark orders at everyone and curses everyone out if we are losing even if he is doing a pretty crappy job himself.

Yea, it's really worth wearing a mic these days, isn't it?

Do I say good game? On the rare times I actually wear the mic and it becomes an exciting match, win or lose I will say it.

I don't use my mic, so I don't say good game, if someone is pretty good, I'll shoot them a message telling them good game and that they're pretty good.
