Absolutely. In fact, I'd say it's probably my most played console at the moment (though it's only really competing with my Wii).
Because the PS2 is starting to die out, there are lots of games which I'm trying to buy before they get pulled from store shelves. Though I guess there's still games being made so it isn't quite dead yet.
Courtesy of Atlus and NIS America...yes. Quite often actually. Although to be fair I pull out my older systems quite often, they are quite handy during the dry spells.
Yup. Still play my PS2 :) I need to buy a new one though.Amnesiac23same , i just got re4 and gta san andreas and its alot of fun to play, but im getting this weird disk tray open and cannot read disk issues. But i will buy a ps3 instead when mine dies. Still angry im not able to play ps2 games on the ps2 though.
I would rather play PS2 than PS3/360 anyday becoz of its massive game library!:D
Fantasy_Devil
Fantasy_Devil just made the best post of the day. Gotta love that library of titles.
I'm still working through my PS2 backlog. The PS2 does have one massive library. I basically had to cut myself off cold turkey -- I decided that Persona 4 would be my last PS2 purchase (and as long as they don't make Persona 5 for the PS2 I plan to stick to that decision).
Unlike the poster above, I think PS2 games hold up pretty well on HDTVs. Plus, I am lucky enough to have a bc PS3 so I don't have to play my games stretched if I don't want to.
Strangely, the thing I miss the most about the PS2 is its memory cards. They were so convenient. Putting save files on a usb drive just isn't the same because it takes more effort to keep track of the latest save files when you move from PS3 to PS3. The memory card issue also keeps me using my PS2 for PS2 games because it is a hassle to switch a PS3 file save to a PS2 file save.
I don't have a PS2 anymore, but I often use the B/C of my PS3 to play Persona 4 (and before that, Persona 3).
Yes as it don't like the current gen consoles so i'll stick to the ps2.
I haven't played persona 4 yet as my copy only came with the soundtrack disc i'll have to return it and tell them of their mistake.
last month i thought the bugger was going to conk out as it made a awful noise and both controllers and memory card ports couldn't be read.
