I'm kinda embarrassed to admit this, but I sweat when I play video games. I guess the adrenaline raises my body's temperature. I'm no doctor, so I am just guessing. Does this happen to any of you guys?

@dracula_16: it’s only happened to me once, and that was when I played RE4. I had adrenaline and I was genuinely afraid at some points in the game.

Nope.

Though my PC is sometimes a little space heater and on really hot summer days it just makes my room a bit warm lol.

Yes. And not just when I'm playing video games, it's when doing litterally anything in the summer. I don't get why I'm such a sweaty person.

Now, but i did sweat a couple of times due to nerves when I was having difficult meetings and things like that.

It was not fun.

Everyone sweats to some degree regardless if they notice it or not, it's biology.

Sweat is your bodies way of controlling its temperature, it's why you sweat more if you are warmer than normal and sweat less when colder. For the record you still do sweat even if you're way below an average temperature, it's just far less.

One way for a game to make a person sweat a lot is burning many calories while playing a game. I would imagine this would mean the player is really stressed out and making more movement than is necessary, which would make you warmer. The other is being in a very warm room so again, your body will sweat more to course correct your bodies temperature.

The mind can also theoretically give yourself the illusion you are warmer than you actually are. So games with volcano's, fire, lava, or being at a beach 'could' make you sweat more than you should if you are deeply immersed in the game.

Personally, gaming doesn't me work up a sweat the same way as a boiling day at the office, exercising or doing physical chores. Don't find games very stressful and usually mellow during. So, no. I sweat like any human being does, but gaming doesn't build up a sweat even when my blood is stirred with excitement.

Yeah, my armpits get sweaty every time I'm tense/nervous about something, it might be a difficult fight in a game, some intense action in a book I'm reading, driving in chaotic traffic or just unfamiliar area, etc.

Yep. Specially on difficult games or competitve ones. Such as FromSoftware games or Overwatch. I sweat even on winter, I just sweat no matter what.

All depends on what game I'm playing and also depending on what the weather is like also!

True. Competitive multiplayer+ summer, is definitely gonna make you sweat more than, Platforming+ winter.

I sweat while wearing headphones though never when gaming without them. Really depends on if it's hot outside and the room temperature.

It could be that the headphones are too tight, causing too much pressure on your ears. The headphones might also be too heavy, causing strain on your head and neck. Wearing headphones for extended periods can cause your ears to become hot and sweaty, which can lead to discomfort.

It depends on the game. When I play MMORPGs, I'm more relaxed and less likely to sweat. But when it comes to FPS games, then say hello to indoor rain, haha! Strategic RPGs like Angelic: The Chaos Theater also make me sweat because I have to think hard about the best moves to make.

@shadowsentiel:

I thought of getting Wicked cushions for my Steel Series headphones. I know my noise canceling headphones are small for my ears and feel tight at times.

Great idea! Wicked cushions are known for being comfortable and often provide better padding and fit than the stock airpods that come with many headphones.

If you are feeling discomfort with your steel series then upgrading to wicked cushions might be a great Idea. They offer more room for your ear, and better sound isolation due to thier superior materials.

Don't think I ever had that problem ,gaming never worked me up to that extent.Often I'm more likely to struggle with staying awake while playing them.

I don't sweat, but I can be a sweat at times. I guess after a super intense session of online mp if I've been wearing a headset for a couple/few hours I might have a little sweat around my ears or neck especially in the summer if the rooms a little warm.. I play with max sensitivity and little to no deadzone, so I feel even the slightest bit of stick drift. I love the new movement in CoD BO6... man that directional omnimovement is sexy.

I usually have ice water in my veins though, so that keeps me cool. 😎
