I hate buying a pre-owned games in crappy condition. I just look in awe and wonder what people did to the,. I mean, sure accidents happen but some of those scratches and fingerprints I see aren't accidents. Do some people use them as costers or pick locks with them? What's so hard about moving a game from it's box to the console? Before I sold them, my xbox, ps2 and gamecube games looked exactly like they did the day I bought them and I didn't have to take any special precaution to keep them that way. I simply played them and then put them up, it's not that hard. FredFredMurder
I take really good care of my games (pc). I collect games, so it is frustrating when I purchase one that is used from say, Ebay...and the seller's description is inaccurate.
I think of it this way, if your going to pay $40-$60 for a game.. your going to take care of it. That's why i put my games in a thick zippable CD holder and lay it in a safe place like on my desk or a bookshelf. If your wondering what I'm meaning by dangerous places is areas like..
Edges (Can Fall Off)
Windows (Can be melted by the Sun)
Tables (Can get Food/Drink spilt onto them)
I always take care of all my games. That's why it really pi$$es me off when I buy a used game from gamestop and they put all those damn stickers all over the box. I've seen people just take there games out of the system and just toss it down and put another game in.CADMAN_3I use a rag and rubbing alcohol to remove the stickers. Seriously it works great. Just make sure to remove the paper cover and disc from the box incase any of the rubbing alcohol get in the box.
Of course. I don't understand that people who put their fingers all on them and just toss them around. I mean they only cost $60, right? I guess that's chump change to those people. I don't even like leaving my games out of the case. I spent good money for them, so I want to take good care of them.
I totally agree with you on this one. I take very good care of all my games and the instruction manuals. Nothing would anger me more than damaging one of my games.
I bought a game from Ebay once and when i took the disc out there was loads of deep scratches on it and the seller wrote "owned" on the it with green permanent marker; imagine my happiness. especially when it was a twenty five pound copy of Chibi Robo on the gamecube. Managed to get a factory sealed copy a few weeks later so at least there was a portion of light at the end of the tunnel.
I just keep them all in a cd wallet now. Easier than keeping all of the cases.Devourment423
OK but please tell me you don't through out those precious cases and manuals.

Indeed. And don't forget to smell them after you first open the game case up, and do it for every day as much as you want until the smell goes away, because when it does, that factory fresh scent is gone and the paper doesn't feel like new paper anymore. Just paper. You gotta enjoy it while you can.Me and my dog play frisbee with Halo all the time it's great fun.Murj:lol: I am not as bad, but to be honest, I just take enough of my games, that they re in good enough condition for working on my PC. I dont collection them, nor re-sell them, so I don t really care...I would probably play frisbee as well, but I have no dog... ;)

However, to be honest, I enjoy the smell as well.

those damn stickers!!! They use them at BlockBuster I hate that... why do they stick them in the actual game box?.. I mean they could do it in the security boxes they use (the ones with the handle)... That doesn't help me with my OCD problem :x
I usually do. But having two daughters (one of them 4) around means that there are going to be some casualties. Especially among the games that they usually play. I have a couple manuals missing from games like Kameo, Viva Pinata, Super Mario Galaxy and the such. SteelAttack
reminds me when I was a small kid but who actually kept Nintendo boxes back then when the cartridges were so sturdy?
