i have also heard about some of the available goodies with the manual, like in some lunar game there is a cotton worldmap of the game, and like in certain of those expansive collector's edition games one could get a key chain or something like that, thats cool. i hope amazon delivers a ps2 game if not the console to my country. this october i am gonna be buying a ps2.

Well I keep the game cases safe, and the manuals are tucked away inside the case, so yes I keep them safe. I like to have my games / cases / manuals in mint condition.

Me too, but they rarely stay in mint condition. Plus, I get better trade-back value for the game on Goozex if the manuals are in decent condition.

Always. I won't buy a game unless it has the manual, and I keep all the cases and manuals in as near-mint as possible. It's the collector in me.

I always keep the game manuals safe, as well as the case and game itself.

I have very few scratches on my games.

I usually keep mine safe in the case, I think the only one I have that's damaged is my flight simulator 2000 manual and airport guides.

I keep my manuals inside the cases on a shelf; My games all go in a leather CD case, thus making it easier to transport them.

My understandingis that anyone who loses their manuals clearly hates video games and wants them to die. Every time I open up a used game case and see those empty tabs adjacent to the game disc, I always have to think to myself, "Why? Why was your previous owner so abusive/neglectful?"

I mean, how hard is it to keep track of an instruction manual in the first place? It fits right in the case, and if you take it out it's probably because you need it, right?

All game manuals I have are in good condition, apart from one. There was a bit of an accident with my Red Alert 2 game box and manual that involved some strawberry milk... Game still works fine though, even if the case and manual are a bit damaged.

My thoughts exatly.

i visit another website where the issue of missing game manuals comes up quite frequently. The people who argue against them keep saying "why does any one need the manual? I just took it out of the case once and lost it."

If they think no one really needs them, i fail to see wy they would have taken it out...

Yes, I usually only look at it a few times when I just bought the game. Then I keep it in its case where it almost never comes out again. I chuck the french manuals or use them as coasters.
